I still don't know how Mirror of Fate didn't cut the mustard on 3DS though. For me it's much better than a lot of the games that did (on both formats) and one of the best portable releases this year.

*edit* that said, if your gaming world is Mario and Pokemon, I could possibly see how that would be the case. But to not a general gamer who plays games from more than one company/format and of a much greater variety of genres.



pokemon is handheld king for a reason!!! That said, Vita+3DS has kinda different audience target but then again gamers that like Fire Emblem, SMT IV will like Persona. Others are comparable some are not. 3DS has a strong line up this year no doubt, Vita might have te best line up with indie games but With great games like Killzone (FPS ) and Tearaway, i still hear Vita only fans complain about not having games. Maybe its the AAA games they mean? Anyway its hard to compare different genres but at the same time Everybody knows you dont take pokemon lightly and a new gen which happens 3-4 years. That said Vita line up should be stronger next year along with WiiU's, just better hope Sony dont give all the attention on PS4 cuz thats where all the gmes will be imo. WiiU+PS4= Best Console Duo this gen. If you dont have a 3ds, might as well since its cheap and has great games. Vita needs to cut those F***ing memory cards, Im looking for PS4 first then Vita, but thats just me :P

its better to have both, exclusives are on both, if i had a vita i be gaming on Gravity Rush that looks better than alot of 3ds games(not better than my pokemon XY though)

Though I'd be willing to wager most of the people saying LOL Vita has good games? havn't even tried the system, let alone own one and know what games are actually one it. Most people I know don't even realise half the games it has are on it.

As for Pokemon. I really wish I "got" pokemon. It was great on the original Gameboy, but the sequels just haven't appealed to me at all.

I guess I'll give the 3DS one a shot as it's the first 3D one.

pokemon is a MUST Have, trust me they improve more than just pretty graphics! $130+$40 is a great deal, wait for black friday or holiday and you might be lucky $30 for pokemon X orY and 2ds for $99, thats a fucking steal, but if you like 3ds or xl they have good prices and bundles during holiday (mine last year i got an XL for $159.99 with mk7 free)

I don't live in the US, so I don't get "black friday" deals. However I already have a 3DS (hence being able to play CastleVania etc.) I've had a 3DS since the UK launch! My love of Vita came after that because I actually didn't want it to be the better system!

Will definitely be checking out the reviews for Pokemon for 3DS. Like I said, I haven't played one since Pokemon Blue on the original GB so it might be the perfect time to get back into it!

im a huge fanboy, but honestly this generation is the best time to get back in, i did a survey and out of 91 people so far, 60 played up to gen 3 then 36 played gen 5, now with XY(gen6) out of the 91people, it jumped from 36 playing black/white into 77 people getting XY! You'll have a totally different experience than me for sure cuz of 750+ pokemon, also tooo many new features coming!!!

Sounds a lot like the Wii, Saturn, and Wii U. Once systems get a reputation for not having games, it tends to stick long after its not true any more.
