Doesn't need to. PSN Plus is solely about games. Everything else can be done for free off of Plus.

So, with a PS+ account, anyone in the house can play COD multiplayer online on the PS4 without the PS+ account being logged into the PS4?  Like they can with the Xbox One and Xbox LIVE Gold?

Again.  With Xbox One and Xbox LIVE Gold, anyone can access all of Xbox LIVEs features without the Xbox LIVE Gold account holder being logged.  Including Online Multiplayer.

If that were so, it would be a PSN feature, not a PSN+ Feature. You don't need to pay for things like that if its there.

RE: PS+

Yes and Yes.  I can access any content i've downloaded with any user account on the PS3 that has the PS+ PSN account signed in and console activated.  I can also have 2 more PS3's activated and redownload my games from PS+ and PSN on that console and play them when at a pals house.  I can't play the same game on two consoles at the sametime though. So yea, PS+ pretty much smokes XBL Gold at least in the current gen and form.  Add into the mix that I own a PS Vita too and yea, that $50 goes a long way over the year; esp the first few years of it and the Vita. :)

Good to know! Just in case my PS3 bricks on me! :)

You can deactivate your PS3 via internet if that happens.  You can actually deactivate all your devices that way.

But you do need to pay for PS+ to get online multiplayer gaming on the PS4.  The difference is.  With Xbox LIVE Gold, everyone who uses that Xbox One can also access all of Xbox LIVE's features including online multiplayer.

If that Xbox One console is my primary console, then anyone can use it and benefit from my Xbox LIVE Gold account.

PS+ is tied to the user account.  So either I have to give my personal account information over to someone else so they can use my PS+ membership for online gaming, or they have to purchase their own PS+ account.

Of course PS+ is tied to the user account, its a secondary upgrade, not the primary online. Xbox Live Gold is the only true way to experience online if you have an Xbox, so you might as well have those perks if you go to a friends house. On the PS3 the online multiplayer (omitting free to play) is still free until next gen so we'll worry about that later shall we?

On PSN your master account is the main account on the console, so if you put that account on your friends console you can still use it or if you get a new console you can redownload all your old goodies. Only draw back is one console at a time.

Lol at the trolls. The Xbox One is not a copy of the PS4.

Look at all the overturns, its basically the PS4 at this point. The price is all that is left as much as you want to deny it.

How is it the same as ps4?

Sony says no DRM and thus no always online= Microsoft is forced to drop DRM and leave EA hanging. This in turn saved them from segmenting their userbase by millions.

Sony puts in a headset= Microsoft takes back saying no about a headset.

Sony PSN Plus becomes a success= Microsoft responds with "Games For Gold"

Sony's console turns out to be more powerful than  the Xbox= Microsoft fixes their clock speed and is probably working is working on the cloud to enhance the performance of the Xbone.

Sony says theres no blockage of preowned games= MS stops the preowned block to stop Gamestop from capping their consoles.

Sony says the PSEye doesnt need to be forced on the consumer they should be able to choose= Microsoft turns on the lie that the Xbox cannot work without the Kinect.

Soon to come...

Sony announces the PS4 is $399= The Xbone non-kinect edition comes out at $399.

Sonys Gaikai is a hit for allowing gamers to play their last generation games digitally at great speed= Microsoft follows suit.

I could go on.

Couldn't get to through reading them all, had to answer...

How is M$ copying the PS4?  M$ is copying the 360, not the PS4.  Basically what has happened is that Sony made no changes, they just made a more powerful PS3 and started charging for PS+.  All of M$'s 180's are connected to one thing.  The minute they gave up on making online required, all of these other changes were going to happen, they are connected - and not to PS4.  The people who wanted a PS360 with a more powerful chip and GPU got what they wanted.  Literally no innovation left in the next generation.  Hopefully, M$ sticks to its guns and makes Kinect  required.  At least that leaves a chance that something new will come about.

Use the timeline and think. Seriously, if the 360 was what MS was copying, they wouldn't have told gamers who lived out in rural areas and dont have a good enough internet connection to buy a 360 when the backlash was initiated

Cliffy B as much as hes been bitching as of late said its not because of the whiners "whiners" but rather Sony why MS dropped DRM.

http://www.cinemablend.com/games/Cliffy-B-Says-Xbox-One-DRM-Reversal-Was-Because-Sony-Whiners-56882.html

We can all deny it for so long but the fact remains that Sony even if they didnt have to do much still stood up for gamers, which is why MS changed their anti-consumer policies which would've benefited the likes of EA and Cliff Bleszinski (whom is already a millionaire).

Sourcing an article about a guy who used to be a developer who "thinks" that is what happened?  Your kidding right?

What i am saying is that because their presells were sucking, M$ re-adopted what worked for them this generation - the 360 business model.  Obviously Sony thought it was good, they adopted it directly to the PS4.  Nothing innovative from Sony or M$ now.  All this really accomplished, is the shorter lifespan of this console generation.  Like Cliffy B said, you will be forced to go digital if you want the whole game anyway.  All of this "i don't play connected" stuff will be a thing of the past if you want to get the full game on the PS4/XBone.  When Sony states that they will not require DRM for any of their games, they are lying.  You will have to buy all DLC online.  You will not be able to trade online content.  So, therefore it is DRM.  How long is it going to take the "Sony is looking out for me the gamer" crowd to get this in their heads.  Sony doesn't care about you, your friends, your rights, your freedoms.  Just like all companies, it is about the $$$.  Not just the $$$, but how they can suck as much out of you as possible.  If Sony shipped you copies of their "free" games for PS+ instead of giving you a no cost to them DIGITAL copy that you "don't really own because it is digital" then I would believe that they care about you the gamer.

Why do people feel the need to argue about something that is irrelevant now?

It doesnt matter what they think about me as the gamer. If Sony had not opposed DRM EA's dropping of online passes would not have been in vain Now they cannot take it back. Microsoft definitely put in DRM on the Xbox to please EA. They thought that it would pressure Sony, but it didn't. EA backed away once they saw the people were behind Sony. Since then every time Sony makes a right move MS has been dropping old policies to align themselves. Yes, Gamestop did also help by capping MS preorders because MS was trying to put a paywall on used games. Again, thats Gamestop protecting their way of life.

Now...if Microsoft wanted their Xbox resemble the 360 they would've done it from the start. Microsoft saw gamers were angry and were siding with Sony, including Xbox gamers. As I said in the beginning when people questioned MS on their always online and the question of where the market would be able to play if they didnt have adequate internet, Microsofts response was buy a 360.

You keep saying that if they wanted a 360 they would have done it from the start...  They didn't want that, they were trying to evolve the console platform.  When it didn't get accepted, they went back to what worked for them, the 360 business plan.  It doesn't matter if EA wanted it or if Sony didn't.  Either way they tried it and the consumers said NO.  So they went back to their 360 plan.
