Why do you all keep going back and forth with the Sony crowd? You can see right through them. You have some having caveats to whats being counted lol. If you don't respond who would they push their silly agenda on?

i dont believe them, they dropped thier last console and will surely drop the 360 once mass install base for the brand starts upgrading.

Dude...count on your fingers how many Japanese games that have at least a moderate learning curve sold well. JRPG's are aimed at kids but they are looking at shooters and liscened games. Most popular Japanese games today are (discounting Nintendo because their marketing strategies are wholly obvious and consistent) Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil. Not to say they are bad games, but they appeal more to a western audience because we are raised on hollywood with great spectacle in their games. Even though I love my hollywood atmosphere in my games I like japanese titles with tactics and one of my recent favorites was Catherine. I played it on hard and I must say the Japanese are still truly the innovators in the industry its just that they need to up their presenation level to please the western eye. Why do you think Kojima is always so frustrated everytime he sees a Naughty Dog or Rockstar game? The games balance gameplay with massive production value. When Kojima saw Grand Theft Auto 5's gameplay his jaw dropped. Sure, GTA isnt particularly hard but the gameplay is looking all types of fun to supplement the lack of challenge.

Does anyone in herr actually think that the video game Industry will grow during the next generation? I am gussing most people believe it will shrink somewhat and that should worry everyone. The vision Sony, MS or Nintendo shows must be a vision that grows the Industry, and I have not seen sign of that future to become reality, only companies and gamers clinging on to history. That is a problem.

FFXIII Lightning Returns, Dark Souls II, Titanfall, Destiny, Wolfenstein, Dragon Age Inquisition, just to name a few are some big titles coming out in 2014 for the 360, in addition to all the yearly releases like Madden and Fifa and the next COD inevitably.

GoW2 came out at the very beginning of 2007 just after the launch of the PS3, and that was last major AAA first party exclusive the PS2 saw, so that means the 360 is being supported just as well as the best selling home console of all time was after its successor was launched.

The highest selling Non-nintendo console games are western influenced for the most part because those are the gamers who are pouring most of their dollars into the industry. Yes, you named Monster hunter and DQ but those games are on the Wii and the 3DS which are expected to sell well. I applauded companies that can stick to keep a game challenging and those would be two on the list along with the games like Cathrine and Demon Souls and Dragons Dogma (another capcom game I named which obviously you ignored). I am stating a development trend which is actually hurting Japans gaming industry as a whole instead of hurting them.

I like how you said there are no titles on the PS2 in 2008 except Kingdom Hearts, but once I listed a few you mention some games in 2014, then yearly releases of "Fifa" and Call of Duty.  I'm not sure, but doesn't 2008 for PS2 also have a MLB The Show, a Madden, a WWE game, multiple other various sports franchises, etc?  What's with your cherry picking between consoles?

I also said next two years, because 2008 is two years after the PS3 launched with good games still in 2009 and 2010.  Btw, which of those games you listed are first party Microsoft titles?  Additionally, which ones are exclusive to Xbox consoles?  Titanfall is on PC and is timed for PS3, everything else is on PS3 or PS3 and PC.

Quality is debatable.  One mans trash is another mans treasure, but Sony published 15 different games from IPs they own in 2007.  10 in 2008.  First party support.  I think most of them are garbage, but that's based on my never playing those games and never going to, but maybe a third or fourth of them are good   Get back to me on Microsoft's exclusives in 2014 also.  We probably won't even see half the amount of first party titles in 2014 for the 360, Kinect shovelware included.
