Okay so I found a couple articles saying it's 1000 but I don't know if it's the truth.

Xbox Support Tweet - https://twitter.com/XboxSupport/statuses/336928585275301888

During the Xbox reveal MS said it would have a 1000 friend cap, but at E3 they changed it to "unlimited", whatever that means. I remember hearing it from a video interview with Marc Witten and the one posted here with Major Nelson.

So what is going on here? 1000 is bad, 2000 is good and unlimited is bad again?

Something like that

I've had 100 on 360 a few times, but I don't see myself ever getting anywhere near even 1000

by unlimited they meant 1000 they clarified this with Eurogamer right after E3.

Its like my unlimited data on my phone, which is limited to 3gbs,

Tech companies dont know what the word unlimited actually means.

Well, perhaps you should first learn how to communicate with people so they don't think immediately you're an idiot and second you should learn to interpret what it means when people use quotes, ie. """.

I wasn't impressed when they said PS4 had it and I'm not impressed now that ONE has it.

Its meaningless.
