But the discussion is off-topic; and this is an Xbox thread. A certain amount is allowed ofcourse and there is more leeway given in threads like this; but the trend was worrying and so it's just useful to reaffirm the stance of the mod team from time to time. 

This has nothing to do with the mod thread. If you wish to make a more formal complaint then you know where to go; rather than dragging this thread yet further off topic.

So you get angry over a few comments?  Weird since it isnt off-topic in the first place.  ok then cone....It would be different if it was infested with Star wars but it isnt and you know that.  

I really hope its as good as I and plenty of BF fans want it to be. I just hope they can do the whole fps thing right while not messing up the online.

What was the last BF game to come out?  PS2 days?  I never played the originals but my cousin loved them

lol didnt know that haha  Though im not a huge star wars fan so i dont pay much attention to them.  In fact i didnt even realize you all were talking about star wars.  Just saw someone posted the trailer, clicked on it and watched and moved on.  *raises arms* oh well.

Ill check out battlefront if it turns out well though.  Shame that Star Wars game they showed a year or two ago got canceled.  I dont remember the name of it but it looked good

My thoughts exactly. I don't know what's more ridiculous...the people complaining about it in the first place or a mod actually bothering to address it.

Hopefully he got good contacts/relations with jp developers.

SW is amazing, I don't see what's so wrong on talking about it for 4-5 posts.

We let a lot of off topic discussion go free in this thread as it is seen now as a community thing that from time to time does move onto topics that arent videogames.

However. We also have to make sure this thread is okay for other people to frequent (even those who arent regular posters here), and if those other people do not want to scroll through a page of off topic discussion to get back into the gaming news and discussion, then we have to remind you guys that this thread is at heart a gaming community thread.

Now like I said earlier, we *do* let a lot of off topic discussion run free here, but now and again we get complaints and rather than moderate anyone or attempt to get people to simply shut up, it is best to place down a reminder that this thread is a) still under the forum rule set and b) off topic (non-gaming) discussion isnt encouraged. By all means post about if you thought the new Star Wars trailer looked cool, but please do not drag it on into a full blown conversation about the Star Wars EU, especially when we have a thread on the main page dedicated to the new trailer. The odd post here and there isnt a problem, but full blown conversations can become a problem.

I do not want any reply to this, nor do I want any further comments on Conegamers post. Do not let me down. If you have any problems with anything said or done, you know where to take it.
