Do video games actually matter?

Do video game sales matter?

Does your, my, anyone's opinion on here matter?

This is a forum and it is meant to discuss things so I don't understand why you have to post that reply.

To answer the question, of course it doesn't matter.

Sony has a mascot for almost every genre but yes there are standout characters that are just popular from generation to generation.
Sonys motto is not to have a major mascot, but rather create characters for everyone. Be whoever you want to be.

In the PS1 era it was Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Tomba, Parappa the Rapper, Sweet Tooth, Solid Snake, Cloud

PS2 era: Kratos, Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter Sweet Tooth, Sly Cooper

PS3: Kratos, Nathan Drake, Cole Macgrath, Jak & Daxter, Rachet & Clank, Sweet Tooth, Sly Cooper, Sackboy

PS4: Knack, Delsin Rowe. More to come....

No, the mascot thing has been pretty much dead since the 6th gen.

No, no it does not. Because Sony's platforms have always been third party dominated. Which they learned this past gen is not necessarily a good thing, for thirds are only as loyal as their wallets.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

No.

Some of these "macsots" people have named have done nothing but appear in great games. That's it. A mascot does more than that. At one time, it was Crash. There hasn't been one, since. The closest thing has been Kevin Butler. Playstation has a couple of icons but no mascot.

It's either Kratos or Nathan Drake.. both are bad asses
