Forums - Gaming Discussion - PS4 Fans Disrupting Xbox One DRM Petition

Its frankly a pretty shitty thing to do. Its one thing to support and defend your console of choice but to deliberately try to sabotage/influence a rival console in such a way is pretty low.

What about the people who created the petition in the first place? Assuming they are actual MS fans, Don't they get any of this blame?

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

That is just terribly pathetic. Who is so involved with the console wars that they actively want to see a competitor fail?

You got it wrong, ConeyG. This petition was started  by fans of the XBO's old policies. People were just trying to help give back what they truly wanted. It's in no way what-so-ever to hurt anything.

Am I the only one that sees the humour in this?

No. I do.

Did you sign the petition so you could laugh some more?

Xbox One fans never mess with PS4-related polls or threads.
PS4 is the only console that has fanboys. Xbox One doesn't have fanboys.

Like a stupid petition would make them change their policies again? People are already confused. No need to confuse them further.

Why would they get blame? They feel passionately about the features that MS unveiled and want them back. Fair enough.  Even though they are likely in the minority they do have the right to make a petition  and agitate for change as much as they want - I personally hope they fail but that doesnt take away their right to actually MAKE the petition.

Regardless of what they are doing, no sony (or nintendo or other gamer) that is not going to buy (or at least is considering to buy) the XBO should really be putting their two cents worth to try and fudge the numbers. Totally uncool.

BBBBBBBBBUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTT ps4 "fans" are getting jip for signing the petition, the exact same petition that the "Passionate" fans created.

We all agree that the policies were stupid but yet these guys are asking for it back.

If MS buckles and agree to go back to the policies, who are you going to blame the ps "fans" who signed the petition or the X1 "passionate" fans who asked for it?

I wonder how difficult it would be for sony to implement a family sharing plan (digital library) and give people the option to register a disc to their digital library if they wanted too....

The family sharing thing (according to Nelson) was not like game sharing it was more so sharing access to let other people "try out" a game and see if they wanted to get it. From what major nelson said in his interview with Angry Joe it was not intended to be a replacement to actually owning the game or really game sharing at all. While the feature still would be neat to allow other friends/family play the games you had while you weren't online to test them out.

Being able to add your physical copy to your digital library would have been a neat feature if it was by choice not forced, or if you got a gift copy to give away.

Overall there isn't really anything ingenious about the way MS was trying to do things with DRM other than control and limit used game sales.

Was tempted to, but I'm too lazy.

18,000 signatures? huehuehue, good luck with that fruitless endevor, unless it makes MS bring back the family share thing, which was rumor to be a timed trial sort of thing anyways.

Still, PS4 fans could face some serious issues if the Xbox1 bombs horribly. Sony might get too comfy and fuck it up for the rest of us.
