What about the people who created the petition in the first place? Assuming they are actual MS fans, Don't they get any of this blame?
|
Why would they get blame? They feel passionately about the features that MS unveiled and want them back. Fair enough. Even though they are likely in the minority they do have the right to make a petition and agitate for change as much as they want - I personally hope they fail but that doesnt take away their right to actually MAKE the petition.
Regardless of what they are doing, no sony (or nintendo or other gamer) that is not going to buy (or at least is considering to buy) the XBO should really be putting their two cents worth to try and fudge the numbers. Totally uncool.

BBBBBBBBBUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTT ps4 "fans" are getting jip for signing the petition, the exact same petition that the "Passionate" fans created.
We all agree that the policies were stupid but yet these guys are asking for it back.
If MS buckles and agree to go back to the policies, who are you going to blame the ps "fans" who signed the petition or the X1 "passionate" fans who asked for it?

I dont see where you are going with this. Yep the policies are stupid and I dont want them they STILL have the right to try and get it reinstated. The onus is for us (who are against the drm move) to try and combat it either by petitions, bombarding MS with comments and criticising the petition (as happened to get it overturned in the first place). That still doesnt mean that those drm fans cant have a petition.
As for who to blame, you would blame both wouldnt you? Since both the passionate fans and the ps fans are both responsible for getting it reinstated.
