This is how it goes all the time, It's funny they aren't even trying hide the racism and bias at this point just put them all behind bars or in a casket. That's the Good ol' Boys for you and if you need any proof just check out the Zimmerman thread for the filth.

Uh huh.

If she'd shot him dead with no witnesses around I'm sure she'd be just fine...

Can someone fill in the details here because 20 years for gun shots without even hurting a person doesn't sound like a sentence given on this planet.

Basically, some assholes passed a law so that if you use a gun during the commission of certain crimes, you face a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 or 20 years, or life, depending on the crime. So if you use a gun to commit aggravated assault, that's an instant 20 years without any possibility for judicial discretion. And of course the jury is not permitted to take into account what the sentencing will be, only whether or not the prosecution proved its case.

stupid cunt should have just murder the guy that way only her version of the events would have been available

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Wow, just wow. If I understand this correctly she would have gotten the exact same sentence if she had outright shot her husband? That's outrageous!

I thought this happened in Texas

Something is going on here in Florida. I think i need to get the fuck out of Florida

It seems that if a murderer wants to murder people in peace, they should move to Florida lol

No, shooting him would have added another five years.

This is all part of Florida's "10-20-Life" program, wherein the use of a gun in any crime requires a minimum sentencing. It was a campaign pledge from governor Jeb Bush, pushed as a way of showing he was "tough on crime". I'm a little surprised gun advocates haven't been up in arms about it.

if she killed him she would get less jail time
