As of now, Ouya is on my maybe list. I haven't decided on a new home system yet so it's still a possibility for me. A tablet can't do multiplayer though correct?

 

Reasons to get: Only $100, good for emulators, cheap multiplayer fun, simple.

Reasons not to: Not super high-quality, might not get support, a new version releases every year making yours outdated quickly.

Tablet, multiplayer? Do you mean local or online? A tablet can do online multi.

A reason not to get is that you can get something that you can carry around which does the same things - and more. Tegra 3 tablets aren't expensive.

I dont know. At first I was interested, but my wallet will probably vote with a couple of Vita games instead :-?? Its an interesting concept, but today even a PMP can do what the Ouya does.

lmao, ouya. No, It doesn't interest me in the slightest. I don't see much of a point of spending $100 on something to play tv mobile games with. If I really wanted to, aren't there cable to connect a tablet/smartphone to your tv too.

if you wanna play roms or android games get a pc and an emulator don't waste your money on some cheap plastic

Get a cheapo tablet and tether a X360 pad to it... better value.


No I won't. I already have a  Nexus 7 which has no HDMI. Also I want to hook up LAN and a USB-disk-drive with movues on it. Believe me, in my case Ouya is a perfect device. It is like a smart-tv-device like the smart-tv every tv-company wants to give us but all fail.

It can use component cables, do 1080i, it DOES have hd video playback, and instead of andoid apps it plays xbox and homebrew games, though yes... it is a massive power hungry box.
