Good list, though I would also add Gunpei Yokoi, the guy who pretty much created Nintendo's portables.

Hell the DS design was based off his 1981 Game and Watch. Dude also died really tragically and broke boundaries by making Samus a Woman, unheard of at the time. Virtual Boy still lives on in 3DS.

And he was Miyamoto's mentor.
