We have, but I haven't seen any quite like the city backdrop in the boss fight of Bayo 2's E3 demo, (the amount of buildings + detail is stunning) in combination with everything else going on in the scene. (Giant boss, pouring rain, reflective building, debris and effects everywhere)

Well over the top scenes like that aren't in a lot of games. We did see something similar to that in the beginning of the original Bayonetta and its several years old.

Regardless, I have little reason to believe that scene isn't possible on PS360. But if that runs at 60fps and is 1080p on Wii U, that certainly is something PS360 can't seem to duplicate. But I don't think its due to RAM.

I think the RAM of the Wii U vs. the RAM of the 360 & PS3 speaks for itself when it comes to open world capabilities in comparison.

In theory it should be. In reality, maybe we just haven't seen it fully ultilized.

i was talking about X, baynetta runs 60fps on 360 and baynetta 2 looks about the same to me, as for mario kart it looks  nice, but i think GT4 and forza 4 look much better, but its not a fair comparison.

and it still has time to clean up some of the textures in the second picture (I know that you are going to point it out that the textures of the spikes and the blood aren't very good, but look at pretty much everything else)

360 Bayonetta:

baynotetta was a very very ugly game on 360 and it continues the tradition on wiiu but it looks a bit better., cause its coming out like 3 years later, so of course it gonna look better cause they removed the use of the horrible yellow bloom filter, still to say it looks impressive especially based on those pics is none sense IMO.

The spike treadmill and the texture on the hand of her punish combo attack with Jeanne were the only lackluster textures I could find in the demo.

I absolutely love that your comparison completely ignores the dramatic increase in screen complexity at one time due to her new umbran climax mode and the fact that the plane she fights on flies around a city and the camera pulls back to show the player how well rendered it is (Bayo is an arena action game and though this is much of the same in terms of fighting area, they have at least increased the size of the overall environments dramatically over the first) as well as the increase in animation detail.

The opening of Bayonetta 1 was very cool, but it didn't have anywhere near such a detailed backdrop. Environment size and detail impacts heavily on memory use, and I just can't think of a plausible reason why Platinum would  choose to leave over half the Wii U's RAM unused.

Man, it's really annoying that I can't find a good pic of this cityscape, haha. XD

I've seen games on the Ps3 that look better then them. So yes.

X's is the only one that I would say would be testy but I still think it'll be fine.

Yes all those games could run on PS360 from a power perspective(with a little lowering of some graphical details) though games like X probably utilize the full 2gb of system memory. I don't think you can optimize a game that far to make it work on 1/4 of the memory. Maybe can but it won't be the same experience and a very downscaled engine.

The big question with the shown Bayonetta-2-footage: is the city in the background of the fight rendered in real-time or is it a pre-rendered and very good implemented background-video? (think Rebel Assault but much much advanced technology).

For me it seems like it's the latter, game designers got pretty good mixing pre-rendered cutscenes with real-time stuff in the last years.

If only the action in the foreground (jet, train, enemies...) has to be computed and mixed with a video-stream in the background, the PS3 oder 360 should have no problem to match the WiiU-graphic for this game. If it's all real-time, the limited RAM of 360 and PS3 would be a problem.

this always happens with new consoles, the reality is the wiiu has no games that has shown a noticable  upgrade over current gen, X for example, we have no idea how it runs, and we haven't seen have real gameplay demonstration, just snippets of gameplay, nothing you can really judge from, no direct feed captures, no real real gameplay demonstarion video, just a teasers just shows snippets of gameplay, lots of games on 360/ps3 could have been graphic kings of current gen if they had proper AA, good frame rate, pop in and not be sub hd.

That was the point. PS3 was significantly more powerful hardware than 360, but I'm not sure that even any Sony development teams ever really fully tapped that potential. Like you say, on par with 360 games, in most cases because with third party titles, they developed with the 360 in mind, not the PS3.

So certainly, Wii U is more powerful hardware than PS3. But you're not going to see that in especially first wave ports of PS360 titles. You might see it more noticible in a game like Watch Dogs, which they've indicated is taking advantage of the extra power.

Do you have a source for this?

This is a good start I suppose:

http://www.gamercenteronline.net/2013/02/26/ubisoft-development-ps3360-version-watch-dogs-hasnt-started-yet/

Basically stating that the Wii U version will not be a PS360 port. Meaning it will likely use the PC textures, etc., similar to that recent Need for Speed game, which also looked better than the PS360 versions. I also clearly remember Ubi stating that they plan to try and take full advantage of the Wii U hardware, such as the extra RAM, GamePad functionality, etc.

That's Donkey Kong Country Returns on Wii, running in HD on the Dolphn emulator. ;)

If we're going to compare games by year:

PS3 launch COD:

Wii U launch COD:

Thats crap. PS360 versions of Blops 2 are just as capable of those graphics. It has nothin to do with the power of the system, rather the development of the franchise. Try again.
