oh c'mon. Sure it's not as big as 2D to 3D, but your comparisons mostly suck.

We've seen FFXV footage. Why don't you include that in your FF comparison (or FFXIII footage for that matter) ?
Forza Horizon to Forza 5 is a bad one. They are coming out within 12 months of each other. Also Horizon was only half the FPS. Why not doing a Forza 1, Forza 3 and Forza 5 comparison ?

MGS4 to MGS5 is a huge step IMO

I watched it on youtube, but it didn't strike me as something that literally blows my mind because of the graphics. Maybe the video wasn't the best quality. This pic looks so clear, so crisp, GOD how good it looks :D

Yeah, incredible isn't it?  That was the third time at E3 I was blown away (first was MGS5, second was Ryse), when they showed The Division and the cut-scene transitioned into that very scene in the screenshot. Unbelievable.

It is impossible to judge this early on in a generation. Right now we have some of the best looking launch titles ever due to shared tech both in the development world and on the hardware side. These titles are miles ahead of PS2 or PS3 launch titles. However, we will not truly know what this gen holds in store tell we get around 5 years in, and devs have truly harnessed the power.

Thanks for the link, I was suspecting something like that  - if you watch that E3 trailer again, you can see lot of curren-gen problems wih shadows on characters, which I really haven't seen in any of other next-gen games.

Astonishing. I've got to say I wasn't the biggest fan of Ubisoft this gen, I only had Rayman Origins from them. But next-gen shapes up amazing and I think they might have a huge fan in me if they keep up with the good work. First Watch Dogs last E3, now The Division, probably the most exciting game of the whole show for me.

The Quantic Dream demo was the only thing that looked really next gen. But then again, they had impressive demos before Heavy Rain and the game wasn't at that level.

MGS5 looks good but the jump in graphics from 4 to 5 is not as noticeable as say MGS (ps1)  to MGS 2 (ps2) same goes for FF. It just doesn't give you that WOW factor. Unless you want to go done to the nitty gritty like cleaner shadows, better lighting etc, which as I said is just not as big a leap.

So much cherrypicking in here!

Damn! People can complain all that they want but this 8th gen leap is good enough
