Forums - Gaming Discussion - 7th to 8th gen is the smallest jump in graphics I have seen. Yep I will be the bad guy and say it.

It's hard to improve graphics from HD to HD. But i expect stuff like physics (eg Lighting, Weather, Water) and the scale of the game world to improve far more than the graphics in the next generation.

Xbox One, PS4 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Agreed. Some say they want a new gen to be more than just graphics upgrade. Nextgen is more than just graphics. Although I still think the jump is big. in terms of resolution, going from less than 720p in many games to 1080p native is big enough.
