The fact that only very recently they discovered proof of other universes only intrigues me more, this makes us even more insignificant and increases the chances of other planet life by so much, I don't think it makes them close minded however, our society has made them into myth with stories over time.

Well, "life" has to be what we call life since humans have invented the word. The word itself outside of human context is meaningless.


Yes, in some way you are right but there are also scientists who take the word further than most do. For example, read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artificial_life.

What we call "life" is especially derived from "living", so a being "starts", "lives" and "dies". It reproduces and behaves, it eats, it is in competition with other beings. This applies to almost known ways of life as we know it.

OT: Depends. I think that someone who considers the evidence of extraterrestrial life and says that based on that evidence he has no reason to believe it exists, is perfectly rational. He might say that, mathematically speaking, there is a chance of it existing, but that he will not make the assumption of existence based on a mathematical chance. However, if someone dismisses the possibility entirely, then yes, I would consider them close minded.

IMO I don't think it a question of if there is life beyond Earth but when will we find it? I also believe in God but that doesn't cloud my judgement on certain science subjects.

A lot of the stuff that suggest any type of alien life was left out of the Bible out of fear. My understanding is in one unreleased book, the author described getting taken away to another world.
I wouldn't suggest it for 100% factual evidence but the show Ancient Aliens can actually be useful for learning about some things in ancient history. They always take it as meaning it must be aliens but it could very well be God or just coincidence


Granted History Channel does go a little extreme sometimes with their Ancient Aliens; they do raise some interesting questions.  Stonehenge, various cultures that had no contact with each other building pyramids, etc... raise various questions.  How the hell do they move a rock that weighs a shit load from very far with simply man made technology of the time (levers, ropes, etc).  Some of the "man made" feats of the past are almost impossible with today's technology. 


Well, they had a lot of time on their hands and no video games to waste it. Also, they had no achievements or trophies, so they needed other ways to show off their peen. I mean such a pyramid, that's a trophy card for the ages.

You mean they had a lot of slaves on their hands?  Some of the feats are amazing.  Explain to me how they lift this rock that weighs tons into perfect position?

Modern engineers who build skyscrapers still cannot understand how the Pyramids in Egypt were built. These stones were tons, literally so the material they used to lift them required more technology than their time periods suggest for their intelligence level at that time in history.
