Forums - Gaming - Am I the only one that doesn't watch TV on TV?

I don't watch tv at all, I downloaded game of thrones and watched that.

Around the Network

I watch about 22 hours of TV a week.

Most of its is split between 5 hours of Netflix (The Killing, Burn Notice, Breaking Bad), Lovefilm (24, Vikings, The Shield), Blurays (Nikita, Fringe) and torrents (Hannibal, Bates Motel).

Only about 1 or 2 hours is actually watching something aired on TV.

When I had DirecTV, the only things I watched with any regularity were sports games that might be on, and TCM. Turner Classic Movies, for me, was/is basically the last bastion, because it doesn't have commercials, is uncensored, and unlike AMC these days, ONLY plays older/classic films, of which I am a big fan. There are a lot of cool movies that I had never seen until I randomly caught them on TCM.

That is literally the only channel I miss. Where currently live, my roommate gets Comcast cable for free as part of an internet package he got, but neither of us really watch it, hardly at all. I mostly watch Netflix, either the DVDs they send me, or streaming, which I prefer for shows more than movies. I do wish Netflix would invest money in a lot more classic tv shows, because if I wanted to watch new shit, I'd actually watch TV.

In general, no, I don't watch a whole lot of new TV.

Since I've met some people in the dev business I am downloading much less illegal stuff.

Just tv series and some occasional movies, when it comes to gaming or pc/mobile software I try to always have official stuff out of respect to the people who code it.

Yeah i download stuff with my usb and then i use my tv to watch.

Paying for cable seems so idiotic these days. Between Hulu and most networks offering their content online for free and dozens of sites that stream or torrent everything else, cable/satellite providers can suck it. I should also mention that I live in a city with an awesome library system that provides almost anything that ever releases on DVD for free.

Only to watch AFL

I only watch some news and sports on Tv.

The reason i am not excited about Tv functionality on console is because I watch whatever I want, whenever I want on coke and popcorn dot com anyways, All seasons of Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and everything ever shown on TV i stream illegally....and free. I can't be the only one watching illegal stream

Yes, you are the only one. Eventually you will go to jail.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I don't have cable anymore. I decided it was cheaper to just pay for Internet + Netflix than to get Internet + Cable
