Forums - Gaming - So 3DS owners, what is stopping you from buying a vita right now? (If your interested)

The system has a very small amount of games that appeals to me. Its first party titles are really meh to me. The only upcoming ones that I consider interesting is Killzone and FFX, the other ones do really not interest me.

Of the current titles, I can see myself buying the Ninja Gaiden games and Sly Cooper 4.
That alone is not enough to me as they are not system sellers to me.

The games I want to play are not on it. And by the time they are it may be to late.

Don't have the money to pay for the system, and to add onto that I wont have the money for the games. If I had the money, I would have a Vita. There are some games that I would like to play.

The Price; I know the hardware is supposed to be the most powerful thing in the world but you have to think about your customers and audience before you go power hungry. Nintendo could have made the most powerful handheld ever but they chose not to. They've been around for quite some time so experience helps I guess.

The Games: Welp, this is the main thing. I have been eyeing that thar Legend of Heroes and Y's Memories of Celceta. But those aren't enough to make me want to buy the thing. Nintendo's handheld lineup has withstood the test of time. They have these resilient franchises that are hard to resist. What Sony needs is a PSV lineup that will blow my pants off. It seems as it Sony has stopped all operations on the PSV. What is going on exactly? And with Pokemon X&Y, Mario and Luigi: Dream Team, A Link To The Past II, Sonic, and so much more I'm finding less reasons to buy a PSV.

That's about it. The games and price. Lower the price and get better games like the 3DS did to save it. I have much love for my PSP I'm just saying what I feel about Vita.

I also hate the crappy analogs. And that Sony uses cheap OLED combined with very crappy manufacturing that results in displays like n the picture.

Oh yeah and the proprietary and archaic Memory Card crap.

The hell is that?

Memory-card prices and lack of games.

A friend was trying to sell his Vita to me  but when I saw this shit   I googled it and found out alot of Vitas have it

purple, brown, grey and black are all messed up because of this    Gravity Rush looks überstrange.... because the game is mostly brownish

I'd really like to buy a Vita, but Sony does their best to make it not happen.

Whether it's the price of the system, the games and the memory cards, their lack of good platformer IPs, their determination to push rubbish (CoD, PSABR) instead of the actually good titles (Gravity Rush, Persona 4), the arrogance of Jack Tretton that also trickles down to PSV owners, their abandonment of the system after a year on the market or mistakes they have yet to commit, I just can't buy a PSV without knowing that I'll regret it ten minutes later.

But if Sony fixes all the above issues, then they can win me back as a customer.

Sorry to tell you this, but Sony is not going to win you back.

Nintendo and PC gamer

Hmm, it is a neat device, I already considering it. Currently two points are holding me back:

1. Too few games I'm interested in - but that is nearing a point of 'good enough'. So far I'm interested in Gravity Rush, Persona 4, Soul Sacrifice and Ragnarok Odyssey. I also would try out Uncharted, unsure if that series is appealing to me. Muramasa and Little Kings Story I already played on Wii, but they are great games, might even rebuying them to play them on the go. So one or two interesting games more, and I might be into it.

2. Too big of a backlog on Wii and 3DS. This results in that I have no rush to buy the system. As a pricecut at this point seems likely to come, I play on my backlog and watch how things are developing.
