Forums - Microsoft - XBOX FANS ONLY: Did the DRM news really kill all your interest of ever getting a Xbox One?

There is plenty of other bad news, not just what is mentioned in the title. (lot of good news too ;)

I might get it after they have a lot of exclusives out. But, there are numerous reasons I do not like the xone, nor like what MS does in the gaming industry. People like to act dramatically, but I still know very little. I still rank my next gen as:

PC > PS4 >>>> Xone >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Wii U

Its not just the DRM. Its the lack of information regarding anywhere that isnt America.

Yeah it suck that something that ms does in the US you cant get in the UK, forget that nobody else does it in the first place and therefore you cant get it from them either.

broken logic.

I don't think it's broken logic. Those services are meant to add value to the device, right? Well, those services don't exist in the EU, therefore the device has less value to an EU customer than it would to a US customer. A competing device might not offer that service anywhere, but that just means that there's no differentiation on that point to an EU customer.

Any news you consider bad probably isn't in the same ball park as the DRM news.

Sure, but the online requirements have basically been listed just as much as the DRM news as reasons for not getting the XBox One.  Just sayin.

The DRM news didn't bother me because I feel like we don't have concrete information on it yet. From what we do know however it won't effect me as I don't buy used games and I never sell my games. I'm actually hoping this can lead to demise of Gamestop's rape of player's pockets for trade-ins.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

I'm not really getting any console anyways, I'm moving too much so to me PC and Handheld gaming is mostly for me for the next year or two, by that time lots of games are going to release on all consoles and Microsoft goes back to their senses, and maybe nintendo releases a new WiiU.

Unless there are regular Steam like sales on the systems games then yes. I would also get one if the system gets hacked.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

It's not broken at all. Paying extra for features that you won't be getting is a very valid concern.

OT: I had all last gen consoles, and I like to have all consoles. But so far the Xbox is a no buy for me. It's just too much in my opinion. Great games might change that though, and no Xbox Live fee.

Nope, it's day-one for me if my wallet allows it. I'm actually always online, and I seldom trade in or buy used games.

This fuzz about DRM and used games needs further clarification, I don't believe it is as bad as it looks right now.
