There won't be graphical leaps anymore. Remember the plateau?

Give it time: I remember the initial wave of 360 games were graphically underwhelming as well. That said, I also don't expect the leap to be as great this generation as before: there'll be a lot more effort being put in for much less results.
Being a PC gamer (and a reformed graphics whore) I can safely say that the next gen of consoles (yes, even Wii U) should look fantastic. That's not what I'm interested in though. I want AI that sees me pull out a rocket launcher and yells and bolts for cover before I've even fired. AI that can lure me into a trap or protect me when I need it without getting in the way. Since the original Half Life this seems to have been forgotten, but for me at least, once the atmosphere has drawn me in, effective AI is what will keep me there and leave me thinking about the game long after I've left.

... so all of you can stop ''waiting'', there will be improvements of course, but not leaps.
-Look at Street Fighter 2 then look at Tekken 3, that's a leap, look at Tekken 3 and then look at Tekken 5 that's a smaller gap, now look at Tekken 5 and then look at Tekken 6(ooohh HD), that's an (small) improvement, don't expect much more.
Most people don't care about the graphical differences. Many of the people on this site will though, it's a gaming site. I don't really care about the graphics, you'll still see me playing games from the 80s and 90s as much as i play new games. Not interested in Kinect and the PS4 being stronger brings no interest to me.
currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X
i actually strongly agree, looking at these next gen games looks nice but not blown away worthy they just look a tad bit better then current gen. enternal darkness on wii u looks just the same up there with what i saw from the sony/microsoft confrences.
that call of duty was not that amazing at all, it looks like a medium end pc graphics.

WII U // PC // 3ds XL // VITA
Been saying this since the playstation 4 tech savvys were saying that it was the most noticeable leap ever.
Well, actually i was saying it before the Wii U launched.
Can the Wii U play next gen titles? You decide.

No. Not proven yet...Watch Dogs is not next gen and neither is Assassins Creed. The 720 and the PS4 are much, much more powerful. Thief and the Witcher 3 would be on the Wii U if they were next gen.
