Forums - Gaming - I don't see a "significant" graphical leap.

I think Nintendo was right, in that the graphical leap between the PS4/One and the WiiU would not be as "significant" in terms of visuals as was with the PS3/360 and the Wii. I say this after watching the XboxOne reveal and looking at the EA Sports games, mainly. I think these games could definitely be done on the WiiU without any significant loss in visuals.

What do you think?

I love My Wii U, and the potential it brings to gaming.

It's just the beginning really, kz shadowfall already looks amazing.

I think this gen will focus on the actual content or the little minor details like the amount of things that can be on the screen rather than the visual appearance.

i.e. Open World games will and can have more things happening such as people walking around, cars going through, etc. I remember seeing several frame drops from time to time when I played my PS3 ver of GTAIV.

oh don't forget bigger multiplayer count for consoles!

you'll see a 'significant' leap in graphical price.

its your fault really. if you are looking at the EA sport games for graphical upgrades.

The graphical leap isn't going to be that high, but I believe we'll see more detail in animations, particles, lighting, and all that jazz.

Then again I suppose it's better then a leap to graphics that only slightly out edge 7 year old tech. I kid I kid!

Wait, people expected breakthrough graphics from EA Sports?

Should have used Frostbite 3.

I just saw a blurry stream for the Xbox 1 games but KZ shadowfall, Drive Club and Deep Down looked fantastic its a massive improvment imo.

We are approaching an asymptote.

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.
