Well PSP isn't selling well in the places where PS4 should be selling well soon. It's the main markets vs. developing ones

PSP is selling pretty well in Europe and Japan where vita sales should be selling well. PS3 is selling a lot WW where PS4 should be getting the sales when it releases.

Really makes me wonder how the PS3 will do in the emerging markets when the price is right.

I think Nintendo's a bit too small for branches out in the middle of nowhere. Where Sony is likely to have wider market connections.

I mean they can't even take care of 3 regions right, how do you expect them to take care of all of them?

Partnerships.  I know they don't have the shipping connections of someone like Sony, but they can team up with worldwide retailers like Amazon ... oh, yeah.

Eh.  Maybe you're right.  I do get the feeling that Nintendo is missing out some additional sales for the Wii, though.

 

i think it's more marketing than shipping. 

..shipping only holds them back in nintendo literally ships 0 units to a region and sony ships to.  sony having the ability get those markets to buy products, i think, is a reflection that sony ship enough products (playstation, phones, tv, ect) to have dedicated/localized marketing teams.  nintendo just can't justify the same kind of investment when at any given time they only have 4 products to sell (exclucluding games of course).

My biggest hate on this site is people stating in thread titles that "we need to talk about this". Just title a thread for goodness sake and it will get discussed anyway. You do not need to say "we need to talk about this".

If the thread isn't for you, then you could always not comment in it. But please inform me how this is a troll thread, when I'm doing what this website is all about...comparing sales.

Pretty pointless comparison when comparing consoles to handhelds but if thats what you want to do.
