Well, Breath of the Wild is only at 1.4m-ish sold according to Famitsu. I don't think Zelda is that big in Japan. Plus they're very different games even if they're both Zelda titles.

A Zelda game has never sold this much in Japan since Ocarina of Time and you wanna tell me that Zelda is no big franchise ?

Not a phenomenon sure, but it has proven to be bigger than almost everything that releases for a while now.

Which is basically my point. BOTW's higher than normal performance doesn't mean Link's Awakening will do very well, and even BOTW compared to it's global sales is lacking in Japan. Zelda is a "big franchise" even in Japan, I meant it's not "that big" compared to other regions.

As the two games are very different I don't think the success of BOTW is going to push Link's Awakening sales.

It's 2d Zelda, Link Between Worlds only sold 470k in Japan.

P5 continues to move.

YS IX finally enters the chart. Just need Gunvolt to enter the charts then the stage will be set.

Tripping right in front of the finish line, eh Monster Hunter?

Realistically how much can DQXI S sell on Switch two years after the original release ? I think it's pretty hard to predict

IMO even if it wont break any opening records, I am still seeing it as an easy million+ seller. The Switch is on fire right now and DQXI was well received, so I don't see why not.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

-1 Point for Monster Hunter on Last day? Seriously..?

The only version of DQXI available to Nintendo console owners was a 2D retro version on 3DS. It'd be like saying nobody wants to play Resident Evil 2 Remake because it was already on the PS1. The difference between the 3DS version and the PS4 version of DQXI is absolutely massive, and the Switch release has the option to play both and with Japanese voice acting a few other bells and whistles, so it has a huge advantage that most late ports do not have. I'm expecting 800k LTD, though would not be surprised to see it hit a million.
