I think it's safe to say Capcom have quite a few games to announce this year. Only LP3 and MH4 aren't enough for the whole year.

What are those games? I only know about DuckTales Remastered and Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara.

This confirms that the 3DS is a mature console.

"As for future prospects, the industry is expected to find an increasingly mature market of home video games, which is our core business segment."

"Games mentioned for the year ahead were only Lost Planet 3 and Monster Hunter 4 (3DS)."

@Badgenome. There was a video in the PS4's reveal of a knight fighting dragons in a midieval setting. Also:
"the industry is likely to be in a period of scant new product releases over the near future, awaiting the full-scale launch of the next generation machines."

The games will probably be net new IPs and some prior IPs aimed at next gen technology (PS4/XB).

And Remember Me.

Capcom should have plenty for E3!

On another note, our RE6 numbers are at 4 Million.

"Home video games" = games on home consoles. That's how I took it. MH4 is like a side-project for Capcom, which is pretty funny when you think about MH's size.

No, I think it's in contrast with arcades or ios games. I think they meant dedicated video games, especially when games like RE:R make it to home consoles after the fact it makes no sense to think that portable games (especially MH4) are side-projects.

I guess there's still hope for the Resident Evil franchise. Perhaps they'll back off from the CoD-like gameplay now that RE6 failed to meet expectations.

Signature goes here!

That would be the first time I've ever seen someone calling games on portables "home video games". Monster Hunter especially doesn't seem like a game they would call a home video game.

It would seem to not make sense calling them "home video games", but in the last statement he mentions LP3 and MH4, so it certainly begs the question.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I hope not. Resident Evil is much better as a stupid action game than it ever was as survival horror.

Well, that was about as expected. I still don't understand how they can be disappointed with RE6, I guess their expectations for people to buy a sub-par shooter were just unrealistic.

It'd be nice to see their projections for Lost Planet and Monster Hunter.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
