Forums - Sales - Capcom Fiscal Results: £19.42 million profit, RE6 does 4.9m, overhauling overseas development

"In the meantime, development costs are projected to soar as advanced and multiple functions are added to hardware. Business alliances and consolidations may therefore occur in increasing numbers."

They could of met their profit expectation if they released them canned mega men games.

I don't understand how they expected to sell 7mil, that's like what? 3 mil on both ps3 and xbox and 1mil on PC?

4mil i think is very good for a franchise which i think has gone downhill slightly

There is a part of me that wants Resident Evil 5:Gold Edition and Resident Evil 6 on WiiU just for completeness sake, i know i am crazy.

I guess there's still hope for the Resident Evil franchise. Perhaps they'll back off from the CoD-like gameplay now that RE6 failed to meet expectations.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I hope not. Resident Evil is much better as a stupid action game than it ever was as survival horror.

The thing is that there's plenty of mindless shooters to go around and very few good survival horror games, so I'd rather Resident Evil stay in the survival horror genre.

Let's hope The Last of Us and Psycho break: the evil within will set sales on fire. I know Capcom won't ignore it.
