The Xbox 360 has a 7 Million lead over the PS3 in North America. Why did Playstation lose in North America? Can Sony recover with PS4?

Much as I hate to say it but M$ pretty much has NA under lockdown.

You need more recent figures dude. This site should have them. I wonder, another 100 or so of these threads and it will be the most talked about subject ever. Behind RRoD, of course.

I don't think america is very brand loyal in general, they go for whatever is best and thats the 360. 

Therefore PS4 has a chance in NA providing Sony don't fuck up the launch like they did with PS3. Unlike Japan and Europe where brand name means everything. I'm surprised 360 made it this far in Europe considering how big the Sony brand is over there.

Japan hates Microsoft, USA now hates Sony.. That's how it is.

Not sure what the point is of this thread? PS3 "lost" in NA for quite a while now, so why bring it up now?

Xbox. I'm sure they use Windows like [nearly] everyone else. And no country particularly likes any of the other Microsoft products (WP8, Surface, Zune), so Japan is hardly alone there.

Yeah, no. Xbox360:PS3 in Japan is 1:5.75. PS3:Xbox360 in the USA is 1:1.62. So in the USA PS3 is far more popular than Xbox 360 in Japan. PS4 will sell reasonably well in USA. Nextbox will sell terribly, possibly even worse than Xbox 360.
