If you like Ni No Kuni, you might like Dragon Quest VIII or IX, but they do take about an hour or so to get into. I didn't like the first 20 minutes or so of DQVIII, but after 40 minutes, it was really addictive. My advice is to start with VIII or IX though, and see if it's for you.

I feel the same about Sticker Star, they took out a lot of RPG components, and really simplified gameplay, so it kinda threw me off. Have you played Super Mario RPG? It's a bit old, but it has the same comedy as Paper Mario, and at the same time plays much more like a traditional RPG. I played SMRPG first, and was a bit disappointed in Paper Mario because it's less RPG, and more Puzzle game, but both are still very similar.

If you don't like SMRPG, you'll never like Final Fantasy, but it's a good game to try to really give Square Enix a chance.

----

Anyway, you're not biased, you just don't like shovelware, crap, branded crap, or traditional RPG's.

I have always thought about getting the Super Mario RPG games but never did for some reason.  Are you talking about Mario & Luigi saga?  Or are you talking about the old Mario rpg for snes....I believe it was for SNES anyways.

I'll probably pick up the new Mario & Luigi game for the 3DS when it comes out though.

I was refering to the SNES Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars.

Mario and Luigi....it's not as good as Super Mario RPG, or Paper Mario. I played the original, and I just didn't like it. You might like it though, I think it's your taste (I also really didn't like Persona).

---

I don't think you would like the old school style RPG's too much, so as good as Super Mario RPG and Dragon Quest VIII and IX are, you probably would like Mario & Luigi and Ni No Kuni better. Still, if you like those games, what I have recommended are similar games worth a look at.

You can always like Gran Turismo, but if you don't like that....then yes, yes you are.

How come if you don't like an exclusive title you are automatically considered biased towards that company?  That is something that annoys me.  I'll put a list of exclusive titles that I can remember that I genuinely don't like or just do not care about.  And Im sure their is tons of other exclusives i don't like that are popular or moderately popular anyways.  But if you say you don't like them you are automatically biased.  Does anybody else feel this way?

X360 PS3 Wii
Lost odyssey God of War: Ascension Wii Sports
Gears Judgement Flower Wii Fit
Crackdown  Sly Cooper Pretty much the whole wii series
Crackdown 2 Play Station All Stars Animal Crossing
Banjo Nuts & Bolts Twisted Metal Dragon Quest
Blue Dragon MAG Super Paper Mario
Too Human Socom Kirby Yarn
Perfect Dark Zero Yakuza Wario Ware
Kinect games Move Games Metroid Other M

I for one, wouldn't call you biased. I would however call you the Devil for not liking Flower and Yakuza.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

Well just to be clear I haven't played Yakuza.  I'm just not interested in it is all :P

Flower just didn't grab me or anything.  I see the appeal in it, and it is beautiful I just wasn't crazy about it of what i played of it.

I must be biased against all three, cos I hate Smash Bros, Kinect, and Gran Turismo. ;)

I love Gran Turismo. Ever since I was a kid around 8 years old playing it on my PS1.

I think we have to reclaim the word bias here, because it's not just a preference. It's a decision made before the fact and without sufficient evidence. So it's a pejorative.

That being said, liking a few exclusive titles and disliking some others doesn't make you biased, obviously. However, if for example someone liked only Sony exclusives and enjoyed no Microsoft or Nintendo exclusives, it would raise some alarms. I just don't understand how someone could love Zelda and hate Ico, or hate F-Zero and love Wipeout. Unless he/she was biased toward a particular brand.

Then you're not biased against Sony and... f***

I pre-ordered Fire Emblem off ebgames.ca, and didn't get the artbook, and now I'm pretty pissed! All these awesome FEA avatars really make me want to get a 3DS and play the game (I own the game, but not a 3DS yet lol). It looks so damn awesome.

I need a 3DS with a better battery life, my DS Fat barely lasts a full day at work and that system advertized 6-10 hours of battery new. 3DS XL is 3.5-6.5, which is just not enough, plus the available colours are aweful in North America.

It's about your attitude. You don't get as defensive and aggressive when people talk bad about Nintendo or Sony as you do when people talk bad about Microsoft.

I know you wish people here would see you as unbiased... But being biased really isn't the same as being a blind fanboy. Or course, one doesn't go without the other. But, being biased is having preferrences. Which is totally normal. I'm particularly biased toward dark haired women.

You can have preferrences while still being reasonable.

Maybe cause there's more bad talk about MS here than the other two. And considering there is a smaller Xbox community here, some of us do need to get a little defensive to prove a point. And its not that easy to do that when you have plently of fanboys criticising everything MS does. For example, last week, a Pizza hut app turned into MS not caring about the core gamer anymore and losing focus which is quite a drastic and silly conclusion to draw.

That's a very nice excuse and all that. And I'm sure it fools some people. But the amount of people on one fan group or an other is irrelevent. You feel the need to prove a point when Microsoft is talked down, but not when it comes to Sony or Nintendo. If you were not biased, the feeling wouldn't be any different depending on what is targetted. When you'd see bullshit, you'd react accordingly regardless of what company or console is targetted. You can't ask us to believe you hate bullcrap in general when the only time you react strongly to it is when it's about Microsoft.

That being out of the way, I do agree that some fanboys go to great length to call doom on the companies. I see it going on for all 3. Regardless of the amount of user in each fangroup here.

Typical Jaywood. Whenever someone says something he doesn't like, instead of replying to him, he makes a thread whining about it.
