I hope you know that this is a 3DS game. Not a Wii U game. The picture that you showed would've only been well done on the Wii U.


Seeing OOT 3D this is possible on the 3DS... This is 3D<- 3DS! Not 2.5DS.


OOT3D looks like a choppy old PS2 game compared to the clean, comparatively not-jaggy look of this new game.

The game looks like It could run in a normal DS.


Based on the trailer for the game, it appears to have much cleaner character models and environments than any DS game I've ever seen.

I loved me some Minish Cap, and barring a bit of playtime with Four Swords, it was the only 2D oriented Zelda game I've played. Normally I'd say this is an insta buy, but due to past disapointments (Skyward Sword, Sticker Star), I'ma have to do some researching on it to make sure it isn't another letdown. Honestly I can't really see how they could go wrong with this but I bet I've said that before. :L

Great comparison. 4 Uncharted games versus 9 Mario games. Sadly, those four Uncharted games were released during a single generation while those 9 Mario games are released over a span of 6 (six) generations.

Look, I like Uncharted and I think it's one of the best things to have come out of the 7th gen, but it doesn't get any more innovative with each title. At least Nintendo took their time to release a similar game. To say Nintendo only ever rehashes games over and over again is plain untrue, since every single entry in the franchises that matter (3D Mario, Zelda, Metroid and the like) bring vastly different experiences with each new entry. If you say otherwise, then you have not played these games.


I do not have problems with games like Super Mario Galaxy or Skyward Sword, but games like New Super Mario Bros or this are what put Nintendo under such scrutiny. They've been doing this for a good 30 years now. On the other hand, Naughty Dog is no longer developing Uncharted and has moved on to The Last of Us, just like how they stopped making Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter. Nintendo will likely be making more Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon games long after I die.


I fail to see how that's a good thing, because I enjoyed both those franchises much more than what Naughty Dog is doing now.

Series fatigue, it's why there's no more Guitar Hero or Rockband.


Then don't annualize either franchise. Give it, say, five years time-off at the maximum.

I hear you. Still, if you've got $8, I'd seriously consider getting LttP on the Virtual Console. One of the best games on the system, and that's saying something!

Wow, this was a shock. Zelda isn't even my favorite Nintendo franchise (that title would belong to Mario), but this is awesome! The older Zelda games are far superior to the new ones. Nintendo seems to be finally embracing their roots in some ways, which is what they need to do as that is what made them so successful.

Thats the first I've heard about that game. I looked it up and it certainly looks... different.

We in europe don't have it yet. Americans do. All we have on EO IV so far is in the last ND Shibata said it will come 'summer' to europe. Nothing in this ND. But probably that is better than EO II and EO III that didn't even reach european shores.

I think enough people have called you out on this one, and I don't think I'll be able to add something new so I might just as well drop it... All I'll say is that every 3d Mario is VERY different from each other, as is every console Zelda as well. It doesn't matter how many Mario games Nintendo releases as long as they continue to do new things every time; there's clearly an audience that craves for more Mario.
