Oh, god damn it. I was hyped, but that art style just kills it for me. Fuck 2.5D.

Still, seeing some of those familiar things really makes me nostalgic.

This. After seeing OOT 3D This kind of look is unnacceptable I don't care about the camera angle (Kind of like it) but 2.5 D? Hell even the DS ones were in 3D.

Same goes to Mario & Luigi Dream Team. 2.5 D graphics where they could've use full 3D. I don't want to feel that I'm playing a GBA when I have a 3DS in my hands... EVEN Minish Cap looks better with its 2D Graphics.

God, Sometimes I just don't understand Nintendo's decisions.

i guess they used this graphics stlye cause of the 3D mode and cause it is a direct sequel.

-Sigh-  Look how good this looks... It's not perfect, but hell those are the graphics this should have got.

I understand your concerns, but the addicting gameplay will be the same. Dungeon Crawling doesn't get old. :)

I love LTTP but this  doesn't look amazing at all, but I'm always happy for new Zelda. At least this means Majora's Mask remake for hopefully, next year.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

Yuck. Looks like the Zelda equivalent of New Super Mario Bros as many have said. Absolutely hideous. Disappointed.

I hope you know that this is a 3DS game. Not a Wii U game. The picture that you showed would've only been well done on the Wii U.

I don't see much difference with the graphics, but I like very much the colors. I too was hoping for a darker tone, instead Zelda has been getting very colorful, and that's what makes people believe is just for kids. I'm worried the enemies won't look frightening at all (just like in recent Zeldas)

except for the little detail that every sequel of your beloved franchsies have the same gameplay. (not counting gt, i mean it's a racing simulator)...why do you think Nintendo franchises survived so long? there will be no place for an Uncharted Game in 20 years.

You haven't played any Uncharted game through have you?  Each game brings something completely different in the gameplay department.  Mario hasn't changed much since 64, Sunshine and Galaxy.

so, Super Mario World was = Bros 3? New super mario bros is a whole other story, this games are obviously meant to take the nostalgia route. btw, pls give me gameplay elements from every Uncharted that are immensley different?

Perfect example.  Power ups, from or similar, to Super Mario Brothers 3 check.  Level design variations of Super Mario Brothers 3 check.  Music similar to Super Mario Brothers 3 check.  They just took Super Mario Brothers 3, updated the graphics, added Yoshi, and added backtracking.  Uncharted 2, the entire train sequence, adding platforming and gun fighting.  The truck scene which was mindblowing.  Uncharted 3 added underwater combat, an expansinve tanker sequence where the entire world (boat) was moving.  The desert sequence, horse back riding sequence.  Blending cinematography that very few games actually pull off (The scenes in Uncharted 3 when drake is poisoned, is a trip to both watch and navigate).  There is no 3rd person shooter out there that can claim to innovate third person shooting the same way Uncharted does, there are refinements, but there's a revolutions with each game.  They take the core of third person shooting and do whatever they can to change it.  Which comes back to you never have played Uncharted.

lol, script sequences using as gameplay changing elements, roflfucking mao. what was innovating? you think there wasn't a third person game with guns, under water combat, platforming. you are just overestimating the uncharted franchise. sorry, this series has become so predictable: "hmm, I'm walking on a roof, i wonder what happens ne...oh wait nevermind."

Like I said, you never played any Uncharted, cause if you did, you'd know all those sequences are dynamic and are very different each time you play.  And I can say the same thing for every Mario game "Hmmmm a floating leaf, I wonder what will happen when I touch it... oh wait nevermind"

To me, this looks more like "The Legend of Zelda: 3D Land" or "Zelda: A Link to the Past Returns" than "New Legend of Zelda". Because it's a 3D game presented like a 2D one, not a straight-up traditional 2D game.

There have been 4 Uncharted vs how many Mario?  There are 9 core 2D Mario games alone (Not counting Doki Doki Panic).  1 of them wasn't released here initially since it was too similar to the previous one.

To Carl, honestly I wouldn't have cared so much, if the game was going to cost less than 40 dollars.  That's what's pissing me off, they're qiuckly throwing a game together for a cash in, and I'm supposed to be happy with this?  It's like all those re-releases of Final Fantasy 4 (Except that company is in bad shape because of the way they're handling their properties).

Nice.

Great comparison. 4 Uncharted games versus 9 Mario games. Sadly, those four Uncharted games were released during a single generation while those 9 Mario games are released over a span of 6 (six) generations.

Look, I like Uncharted and I think it's one of the best things to have come out of the 7th gen, but it doesn't get any more innovative with each title. At least Nintendo took their time to release a similar game. To say Nintendo only ever rehashes games over and over again is plain untrue, since every single entry in the franchises that matter (3D Mario, Zelda, Metroid and the like) bring vastly different experiences with each new entry. If you say otherwise, then you have not played these games.

It sounds like I'm the only one who really hates this...

Luigi's Mansion and especially Link to the Past were fragments of my childhood I have treasured for years. Hearing that there would be sequels for these games is equivalent to hearing about Star Wars Episode VII or Trigun Badlands Rumble. Why can't Nintendo just make something new that's as unique as Kirby's Epic Yarn or Metroid Prime instead of digging up my treasured memories?

I'm sure it'll be great but it looks really plain and I wish Nintendo would try harder. Whatever...

Seeing OOT 3D this is possible on the 3DS... This is 3D<- 3DS! Not 2.5DS.
