This is very true if you believe that power is the only thing that makes PC gaming awesome. Then again, if you believe that, your PC is likely already more powerful than the PS4.

And this is untrue for the rest of us who enjoy PC gaming for reasons other than specs.

Oh please, stop being so sensitive, god forbid anyone praise the PS4 architecture. He is allowed to say what he thinks of the technical aspects of a system.

But I'm not allowed to respond with my own viewpoint? I wasn't being sensitive, I was just telling it like it is. =)

Which had nothing to do with epics article......We all know Ps4 will never be exactly like PC as PC is an open platform, it doesnt need to be said it's common sense. Doesn't change the fact froma  development persepctive PS4 is as close toa  PC as you can get with unified architecture, which is actually an advanatge, PC does not have unified architecture.

And yet, that will never make it a PC... This is a forum, be ready to hear it like it is.

And? We all know that, still waiting for something we all didn;t know. No one said it will be a PC.

Almost nuffin beats the PS4. It's the new PS3.

Not at all. It's actually the completely opposite.
The major change being that its easy to develop for.

So Sony finally catches up with MS. Good for devs.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

The PS4 is a great console and it would be a nice gaming PC.. Just not a perfect one.

So finally the console devs gave the game devs what they wanted and they are being praised for it? Well I never!
It's good thought to hear this as I am getting so bored of gaming, and many recent games have also been disasters (i'm looking at you Simcity), so for consoles to be getting hyped is nice.

It actually would be the perfect gaming PC, seeing as how you can run your games to spec outside of a Windows environment, and the developers know exactly what your rig specs are.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

*sigh* VGKing, I know you don't know better, so let me try to help you:

1. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2013/03/sony-dives-deep-into-the-ps4s-hardware-power-controller-features-at-gdc/

quote: "The development environment coders will use is based on Windows 7 and fully integrated with Visual Studio 2010 and 2012, allowing developers to debug PS4 code just like PC code."

Believe it or not, Visual Studio is a product from Microsoft.

2. Microsoft, many ppl here don't seem to know, build compilers, debuggers, assemblers and whole dev-environments since *ages*. DirectX is also made by Microsoft.

3. John Carmack: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9C0DE3DF1E30F935A35753C1A9639C8B63&sec=&spon=&pagewanted=all

quote: "''The Xbox 360 is the first console that I've ever worked with that actually has development tools that are better for games than what we've had on PC,'' John Carmack, Id's technical director and one of the most respected programmers in the game industry, said in a videotaped announcement."

4. Amalur dev: http://www.oxm.co.uk/38687/amalur-dev-xbox-360-significantly-easier-to-develop-for-than-ps3/

quote: ""As a developer? It's really nice having a stabilised platform. Especially with the Xbox, it's so solidified, people know it so well - it's just really, really easy to develop for at this point."

Feel free to google for more sites proving my point.

Please stop hunting for posts that could possibly try to say that something with PS4 is not awesome and reply to things you obviously don't know anything of. Thanks.
