Forums - Sony - Vita nr1 in Japan this week, the times they are a-changing

being able to pull 25k plus would be a massive turnaround... but is actually still pretty awful.

It has the potential to do even more. So I would say 35-40 K during normal months. More 'Soul Sacrifice' like games needed. It seems action titles are doing it more for the Japanese than the RPGs now. 3DS being the current example. As long as SCEJ continues to pump out such quality titles, it's pretty fine in Japan for the Vita.

I just want those tales games and PSO2 to come over. :(

Best thing to maintain the Vita in Japan? Kill the PSP. Sounds crazy, I know. Have you seen the amount of PSP titles in the media create thread!?

It can be turned around, and the sales will likely stay around 20k.

But is it saved? No.

People said the same thing last week lmfao. As long as it keeps getting games, I don't see Vita selling a measly 20k per week. I don't think it will go back to that.

Depends on where the sales settle.

It is an improvement for sure, but it won't last

Sony just needs to get the game flowing, in the West as well as Japan AND get the price cut around the world. They need to do something to get more developers working on Vita games and more units out there would be a great start

If by "saved" you mean will no longer sell miserable numbers, then perhaps. Though this is a very temorary high, which will be quickly nullified, especially when 3DS stomps all over it with games like Pokemon.

How do you expect Sony to do so? Threatening the lives of third party devs' firstborns?

Or triggering the secret self-destruction code in every PlayStat- *dies*

nr1?

Well that's double what it was. Isn't that a good thing?

At the very least sales will decrease by a half, as an absolute minimum decrease.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
