It depends in your meaning of saved and turn around.

Yes, 3DS will continue to decline sales because people will realise its a weak machine in comparison to the perfect handheld, and PSV will rise to glory.

Ohh yeah The Vita sold good in one week. Save is confirmed by the end of the year it will be the most selling console in the world.

Sony was really clever in dropping the price at the same week of two major launches. Phantasy Star Online and Soul Sacrifice surely helped to boost sales. Add to this that Nintendo 3ds didn´t have any major release on the same period of time.

If Sony can keep the flow of those good games... yes, Vita will be saved. I just doubt that it will keep 1st place for much longer, specially when another big 3ds game launches (Luigi´s mansion, maybe ?)

Vita's best games so far (according to people here, the saviour) Soul Sacrifice in its first week has sold 160k units. Best 3DS selling game Super Mario Land, first week 430k units. And I don't want to tell you that Animal Crossing in its first week sold 560k. And that is without counting digital sales as people is saying for Soul Sacrifice.

The key to Vita's definite spot for success now is none but a continous streak of software line-up. The next month is in real question. Some of them are doing 100K+ already alone in Japan which is nice. It just needs SCEJ pumping out more quality titles. However the greatest impact is yet to come come with NA and EU price-cuts.

OT: It'll definitely be a shot in the arm for the next year in Japan, but it's definitely not saved. They need to pull something similar in NA / EU and try and get more 3rd parties on board. They really need a REAL Call of Duty game developed by Activision. After how terrible Declassified turned out, having a straight port from the PS3 / 360 to the Vita might actually be a better idea, as they are being guaranteed quality.

PSV exceeded my expectations, heck I'm sure it exceeded pretty much everybody's expectations for this week, but that is one thing, and another thing is ....well the op. Let's just say it's a turkish thread, and one don't really use arguments and reason in his threads.

It had 2 decent weeks, with lots of games coming out. The real challenge will begin when there are no new releases, then we will see if the system have really pick up, that includes both software and hardware sales. The next few weeks are going to be interesting.
