Forums - Sales - The slow death of Majesco...maybe this time it's the HD twins fault?

how did they NOT make money on Zumba and Cooking mama, even if people dont buy the latter as much it couldnt have cost that much to produce in the first place

When your most note worthy games are Zumba Fitness and Cooking Mama you deserve to fail. Of course they also brought the world Psychonauts, and Blood Rayne so I feel bad.

Here is what they should have done Zumba Fitness, like 4 Cooking Mama games, Blood Rayne Betrayal (Awesome game), Psychonauts port for PS3 as well as 360. A boy and his blob and that is about it. Instead they got 100 plus worthless titles and loss millions on the flop that was Udraw. Take that approach the company would still be strong today. Instead someone is going to get the Blood Rayne ip for cheap.

UDraw wasn't from Majesco and wasn't a flop ... on Wii.

And if you dislike Zumba Fitness and Cooking Mama you should appreciate, that obviously millions of people loved these titles.

People are free to enjoy what they want the reason the company failed was it made too much garbage.

Zumba was fine for what it was as was cooking mama. (Of course those games did not kill the company)

Also according the the G4TV list for Majesco they only released 5 games on PS3 I certainly cannot see Sony to blame at all for their failure. Double Dragon, BloodRayne, and Zumba fitness probably made some money not sure about profit but money for the company. While Girlfight and Greg Hasting Paintball probably tanked completely as they should. While the 360 got ~20 games including gems like Hulk Hogans Main Event and attack of the movies 3d.

If it was a 3d twin then the blame is on Microsoft but I imagine it probably has more to do with the huge number of DS games and Wii games that flopped.

How is it the HD twins fault? If anything it's Nintendo's fault for failing to keep the Wii brand relevant.

No idea how accurate that list from the OP is, but according to that their best selling game in 2012 was 0.12 million units.  You can't run a business like that for long.

I blame Wii Fit.

Thanks, Obama!

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Yeah, the OP was not really serious about the HD-twins are to blame.
