Terrifies me to think that Bioware are in EA's hands now. I can see magical tents popping up in DA3 everytime you die in a dungeon begging you to spend real money to get helpful potions or buffing items.

Will getting a plat trophy be an achievement anymore when no-one knows if you simply bought it? (Just spend a few $$$ on microtransactions and even hard difficulty becomes easy!)

Remember what that guy said, we all love microtransactions. It's that feeling of pester power we've always wanted to feel during a game to elevate us to new heights. I personally have never felt more immersed in games. I thinks it's because I'm so used to advertising, cold calling and little kids pestering me to buy stuff that I feel a gameworld is reasonably empty without them. Thank God that EA is trying to save us from this impulse-purchase-free hell.

I still haven't played the second and third game. But the first one was awesome, one of the best new IPs released this gen.

Suits me. I was done with this series after the first one. Too bad, as it was one of the very few survival horror games we got this gen, and a very, very good one at that. All that "HURR DURR WE CAN BE CALL OF DOODY" talk was a death knell.

not surprising. EA pretty much said it before DS3 released.

It had only average reviews and introducing more action to spice up things for the third game didn't quite work out. Dead Space 1 for life! That was the best ever. Unless something comes up to top that off, series is dead to me.

The first game was great but they destroyed the series, so I'm not sad. I just hope they haven't canceled Dante's Purgatory.

Well Dead Space 3 is just shit anyway.

To be honest Dead Space 3 is pretty fantastic. Less scary than the first 2 titles for sure but has some great gameplay and solid story.

If this is true hopefully another publisher is realising no one wants their franchise that started in a different genre getting turned into a stupid shooter.

No one cared for the action
But somehow publishers are thinking "CoD is selling cause pew pew so we have to focus on pew pew even if our fanbase doesn't want that"
Not only EA is doing that in this Gen - Everyone thinks this is the way to go.
