Forums - Gaming - Rumor: Dead Space 4 cancelled after poor DS3 sales.

Oh my gosh... EA is literally becoming my most disliked games publisher. Like, by far.

I'm not surprised about DS3's sales, at all.  The game had very little buzz surrounding it for being such a high profile release.  I have a buddy who literally hates EA because he loved DS1, due to it reinvigorating old-school survival-horror, but he hated DS2 and it left such a bad taste in his mouth that he said he wouldn't even bother trying DS3.

I think fans of the original have long since given up on the series ever being good again.  And it's certainly not a game that appealed to wide audience to begin with.  Survival-horror is a very niche, specific genre, and you if you piss off your fans by making it non-survival horror, then you simply don't have any fans left.

Does EA have any good franchises left, other than Mass Effect and Dragon Age?

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

Good. Fingers crossed more of their franchises end up this way.

So I think they need to cancel DmC, Crysis 3 and Rising too... bad excuse.

Dragon Age has long since gone the shitter. Mass Effect is headed for pure cover shooter style and less and less RPG. No, they don't really have any good franchises left and have choked the creative talent of Bioware, just like they did with Westwood and Bullfrog, both of which had stellar games in their portfolio. This is just their way of doing business.

I've literally gotten to the point where I can't even think of an EA franchise that I like anymore.  I don't think they have any.  Mabye SimCity?  But see they may well have ruined that too, with the always-online/ having to deal with neighbor players.  We'll see.  I'll have to play a demo or something.

Crysis 3 was the last Crysis game anyways^^

Dont lose focus on what originally made a series great and viable...thats the lesson Dead Space 3 and Resident Evil 6 have taught their respective publishers

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

And people said there was nothing good about DS3... see something good came from it..
