Forums - Nintendo - What could Nintendo realistically do to get you to buy one of their systems.

Since I already have both I'll say what they can do to not make me regret the purchases. (Which were impulse pretty much.)

"X" and HD Zelda had BETTER be amazing. Wouldn't hurt to see whatever Mistwalker is doing either. (WiiU)

Pokemon X/Y really captures that feeling from childhood, the massive amount of JRPGs make it over here, and an original 2D Metroid. (3DS)

I will buy any Nintendo console so long as they don't make it ridiculous like the GameCube.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Same here. I bought both at launch and don't regret either one, although I am starting to feel the effects of that software drought on Wii U though. Its not too different from how I felt about 3DS initially, so I'm hoping the Wii U will make a nice comeback for me like the 3DS by the end of the year.

Man you alwasy hate on the cube. I think it was the best Ninty console besides maybe SNES. Why you hate it? Just because it was purple?

Also, Zelda HD better be fu**ing good. We've had 4 consecutive terrible Zelda's (SS,TP,ST,PH) it's time to go all out.

Wii U: A fire emblem game and a couple other JRPGs. SMT series from Atlus would be a good place to start
3DS: It's pretty much impossible to convince me to get one. I just don't like handhelds.

I don't expect nor do I think a price drop is necessary. Wii U is a next-gen system and I don't think it's unreasonable for Nintendo to charge $350 for what is to be their flagship console for the next six years.

When Wind Waker comes out, I will get a Wii U, and I expect many others have similar views.

The problem is the same as 3DS early on... a complete lack of attractive software.

Wii U isn't likely to pick up significantly in sales until Wind Waker HD, 3D Mario, and Mario Kart come out toward the end of the year. Pikmin and LEGO City will help stop the bleeding, and might help keep the system from dipping below 10k per week, but they are not system-sellers by any means.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

Nintendo cant fix my problems, I grew up and realistically I know they wont follow me. Microsoft gives me my shooter fix and Sony gives me everything else. I love a good Starfox, Metroid and Zelda game though. I grew out of most of the other things though.

I almost abandoned them with the Wii, but I'm sticking around for those three franchises you mentioned, and 3D mario. Smash is the best multiplayer out there too, so there is that.

Also, nintendo has some pretty awesome hidden gems that I'm discovering. FE series, and Advance Wars are both amazing, and incredibly difficult/rewarding.

If they came out with a Starfox, Metroid and Zelda  with a Wave Racer and FZero....without a shadow of a doubt i'd have a Wii U. I know the next Xenoblade and Bayonetta will be there but I want those games. Sadly, I know not to expect Star Fox from them, they kind of have to surprise you.

It is really annoying that they have abandoned some of their fantastic second tier IPs. I can only take so much Mario.

I'm really interested to see what Retro is doing. I think whatever it is, could sell a lot of people on the Wii U. Retro is honestly more talented than EAD at this point.
