Yes, personal viewpoints on this are important, due to the lack of said data.

No. If anything, PlayStation fans are the worst of the lot for playing the victim, to then be trolling away in Nintendo threads.

This forum is full of competitive people who support their prefered console rabidly. It comes with the site. Its sales. Its competitive and its what makes VGChartz as a site stand out from others.

Saying this, and as a PS "supporter", I can say that PS fans are the worst when it comes to both trolling and being the victim. Why? They fight on two fronts. Old rivalries with Nintendo and new rivalries with Xbox. They troll both just as much as they can, and get back exactly what they give. Ninty fans and Xbox fans pretty much ignore eachother and you rarely, if ever, see confrontation between them.

That's very insightful.  Coming from you, I don't think it's trolling either.  I'll have to start paying more attention to your words than your sig in the futu--- naaaah, V's hypnotic wiggle owns me.  Sorry.

I don't have to know exact ratios and take off my fan lenses to tell you that there are more Sony fans then MS fans. It boils down to common sense on that one.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Put simply, this is a 2 front propaganda machine. One side brags and brings the other factions down. And then you have Jay 520, who makes it his job to remind you that "you can't prove anything", or "all factions are equal". You dont have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that Sony fans outnumber MS ones and are therefore louder in their fan actions.

I view Jay520 as like the cleaner for the PS faction IMO, cleans up the dirty laundry and Febreezes the air to mask the true odor. You know what would be nice? For him to own up to things the way they are. Nothing wrong to paint your faction in a better light, but pretending the seedier people are not as big a problem as the others is what gets me.

Thought my views were pretty clear.

Nintendo fans are average in number, they dont bother me and I tend to not bother them. They seem nice and not arrogant. They could have bragged about Wii winning, but that card wasn't played nearly half as much as they could have. Kudos for being gracious winners.

PC guys....their sole existance is to remind cohnsole guys that their PC is better. Yet for some reason they are the odd man out, they want to be included with the console guys in thie r console discussions. lol some kind of acceptance complex going on with the average PC person.

MS fans are fewer due to MS not having the 1st party studios to keep up with Nin/Sony. Those that remain tend to be loyal. Sure we have the same capacity to brag and flaunt what we like over others, but our voices tend to be immediately drowned out by criticism. We just dont have the numbers to post appropriate counter responses.

Sony fans are the most numerous. PS2 loyalists combined with Sonys 1st party efforts in recent years has done this. Because of their numbers, they can throw their weight around more in a forum, and have their bragging go unchecked at times. PS3 and 360 fans act similar, but due to their numbers, they grow an arrogance. Its not inherent, but grown out of having their opinions unchallenged and surrounded my more like-minded people.

The OP is completely right. Not every group can be the victim. If you look at it without fan lenses, it is clear that the fans of the system I am fan of is attacked most often. It is crystal clear!

Great post. There are a few small things I disagree with there, but not enough to go into details

And yes, 07-08 were different times. The times of Nintendomination. If I reflect on the last six years though, the main difference between the three fanbases when it comes to bragging is that Nintendo fans and Microsoft fans tend to brag mostly about results while Sony fans often can't be bothered to wait until numbers come in before they go all out to declare superiority.

You must be joking. Sales2099 is one of the most biased users on this website. Constantly uses "Sony faction" "Devout Sony fans" comparing anyone who does appreciate Sony to a religious nutcase. It's passive aggressiveness and I can't stand to read it. 

That being said, since Sony numbers seem to be quite high here, it's obvious to me that Sony has the most trolls. And yeah, I'm as tired as you are of seeing PS3 will pass 360 _________ (insert date) or gap is only ___________ (insert numberical data). It's pointless. Let's just wait - if it happens, it happens. Declare it when it happens, but stop the inanity. 

I like Nintendo fans.
