Did no one listen to David Perry when he spoke? They're gonna work very hard to make it so that this kind of content that shows up for you is based on your likes and friends. I don't play Call of Duty, I never will, so I'll be getting Street Fighter videos showing up in my space. Best thing they said was I'll be able to actually find the people uploading the videos and I'll be able to challenge them (Not as easy as that I know). Blanka has it right though "Ono-chan I can't beat the dragon!"

Well, I want to add the fact that it will be eve harder to find good quality content. I have a friend that makes really good videos, he have been featured on machinima a few times. But he is struggeling to get viewers, because youtube is allready flooded with videos. Now that everyone have can upload videos, it will be even harder for him to stay relevant. And it will be harder for me to find good quality content, so even though I won't use it that much, it will have an impact on me as a viewer.

You will need to wait until you see how it's implimented. IF this has a rating system that issue would be fixed.

IF you don't want to use..how will this afect you in any way? So now you are going to use a little bit? lol Twitch tv and the like has communities build around it..a feature like this will only help them grow. You don't even need to think so hard, jsut think of it as friends sharing some cool shit that happened while playing a game. THere are countless times where I wished I had a camera ready during a game because something funny/cool/interesting happened. Feature like this being built in to the system itself is a very gamer centric move

My friens are a bunch of 15 year olds playing cod and fifa though. And, I am basicly speaking about console gaming, and not pc gaming, so when someone decided that they wanted to start doing youtube videos of them playing, they needed to take a finacial decission. The recorders costs money after all. That removed a lot of unneceary content. Also, I updated my original post a bit, I suggest you check it out.

THere are countless times where I wished I had a camera ready during a game because something funny/cool/interesting happened.

Now that is how it should be used, but the question is if people will use it that way. I think my friends will upload monages from cod for the most part.

umm aren't you basically giving more reasons to prove my point? This feature basically removes the barriers to entry since no additional hardware is needed to do the capture. Thats a BIG plus.

Like I said we need to see how the feature is set up and if there is a rating and categorizing system. But even ignoring all that, you can just stick to uploads made by your friends.

Yes I am. But I am also pointing out problems with it, that it will be easier for people to post uninteresting videos. The name of the thread is: Share button, and problems with it. For me, I think it will be a problem, unless sony pulls out their wand and does something magical about it (like making sure that there is a maximum nuber of desibels in cod videos :D). As you said, we have to wait and see, but we always start speculating on stuff beforehand anyway, so I don't see why we can't now.

That´s gonna be great for fighting games :)

Bolded: Around 80% of my friends only play cod or fifa, sadly.

The comment as a whole: All press guys say that. I am not saying that it won't work, I am stating things that needs to be addressed. This is something that people do all the time (example: there are like 100 articles about what nintendo needsto do to get their online right).

Not gonna lie, you are now whining for the sake of it. THis is like complaining youtube has uninteresting videos. If the videos available to you are based on your prferences and likes then there is no issue. IF they impliment a raiting system you can just check the highest rated material as well. If you don't like what your PSN friends play make some new friends who have similar interests so you can share and have fun

if all else fails..don't use it. It's an optional feature

If anything, surely it just allows you to record yourself playing so you can watch it back, something weird happens.

Although a great way to use it would be to find glitches and faults with the games and send them to the developer.

Hmm, pie.

"It's pretty neat. No doubt about it. But will you actually play those videos that your friends record? I have 0% interest in them. The only videos I watch about games, are from proffesionals like game grumps, that are funny to watch. And whith 5 millions uploading cod videoes, how are we supposed to find good videoes? And what about spoilers"

1. I personally won't cause none of my friends do this, but suppose for a second my friends did, yes.  I'll be watching BasilZero's videos if he gets a PS4 and I get his PSN (Note he gave me his youtube videos, but I haven't subscribed to them yet).

2.  Assuming there'll be subscribing to users, just subscribe to what you want and filter out your friends.

3.  I answered this question with what David Perry said.  Just like youtube, when I go to youtube, Marvel vs Capcom 3 videos show up for me, this is based on my watching M v C 3 videos that show up on facebook through my various subscriptions.  The videos that youtube present me are tournament videos and are quite entertaining.  Perry said this is what they're striving for and I'll believe him until it comes out and it doesn't do this.

4.  If you see a picture clip of a video on a game that's story heavy why would you click the link?  It's like me going to youtube seeing videos for Metal Gear Solid 4 and then complaining later that they spoiled a characters death for me.

Most of your complaints will have merit once the service is released and they make it difficult to do things.  As it is now the service addresses your concerns.

It's kind of odd that they put it right on the remote. Seems like Sony think everyone should use this.

I'll never use a feature like this. Usually I only watch videos that show you how to get achievements, or sometimes I watch walk through's but nothing else.

A question on the side: if I get it right, the PS4 records always the last 15 minutes of your gameplay, is that right? How much processing power and how much memory (RAM) costs this feature?
