Another thing, weird idea but I think that Pokemon games have contributed towards the rise of atheism in some way.

Teaching kids from early on about evolution and all that.

I seriously doubt that. I obviously play/ed Pokemon, I'm not athiest. Same goes with many of my friends.

Besides, evolution isn't the thing that makes most people disagree with Christianity, from what I've read. Tons of Christians believe in evolution, tons.

There are two main camps in modern Christendom when it comes to origins: those who accept evolution as fact, and those who reject evolution as fact. The first are called evolutionist christians, the others creationist christians.

The last time I read the Bible was a while ago, so I can't remember the book of Genesis. But I feel like it didn't denounce evolution as a whole. (I could be wrong, of course.)

I'd be confused, because I went to a Catholic elementary school, and we were taught about evolution in science, and creationism from religion class, and there was never a conflict.

The issue with "creationists" is that they can't read. =D In Genesis, it says that God created man, etc. It never states in the Adam and Eve story that they were the FIRST people on earth. On the 6th day God created man, 7th he rested. The story of Adam and eve comes later after this information. It is known through most educated Christian circles that there was a whole world of creatures and people before Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were kind of God's lab experiment to see what would happen.

My point is - an educated Christian believes in evolution as well, and it doesn't interfere with their faith. The two co-exist very well. Notice that most of the crazy bible thumpers come from areas with subpar or downright poor educational quality. So really, if evolution is your reasoning for Atheism, it doesn't make any sense to me.

Of course if Pokemon was accurate anyhow, the time it would take one of the creatures to evolve, Ash would have been nothing more than bones in a grave by the time it evolved. =D

Yeah Adam and Eve being created from nothing and populating the Earth is totally in line with evolution...
