You seem late to the party. Anyways, they have to abide to German law because they are based in Germany. Sony and Microsoft don't have to abide to the law because they are based in the UK. Nintendo have said that they are trying to work around this, but something tells me this is going to take a while considering how complicated the legal system likes to handle things.

What? How in world would Nintendo have predicted this situation in the 90's? If Nintendo were so "protective" then why is Ninja Gaiden, Zombie U and Bayonetta 2 showing up on the Wii U?

Nintendo has been listening in and totally understands all of your concerns. So to make things right, Nintendo has decided to join in on the United States political debate about video game violence and advocate for the implementation of Germanic law to even the playing field. Nintendo cares about you and wants to ensure all is fair.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

NOE is based on Germany, they have to follow the laws there.
Microsoft and Sony europe are based in UK. They follow UK laws.
