VGAking, let ask you something what exactly is ever been realistic about video games? Right, not much of anything is realisitc. Have ever played Metroid prime 1,2,3? Those games aren't cartoony. You to get over your delusional view that everything Sony does is so realistic. You try to use Killzone when Nintendo every made a FPS ever, so yes of course they have nothing of the  like. They just have games they sell a lot better than Killzone.

Exactly. Nintendo has no realistic games, so they have no way of showing off how powerful Wii U is. I am NOT delusional, I NEVER said ALL SONY GAMES are realistic, but their top-selling and AAA ones are. Killzone, Uncharted, God of War...etc. These are all games that fall closer to realism than cartoony or artsy. If and when Wii U has something on the level of Uncharted or Killzone, it would be YEARS from now. By then, we would have PS4 and Xbox 720 games that make Uncharted 2/3 look like a PS1 game.

LOL @ your last sentence.  No need to get so defensive. Yes, Nintendo IP sell better than Killzone or Uncharted, but this is irrelevant to this discussion.

The main Mario games usually do a good job of showing off Nintendo's hardware. Of course there's Zelda and whatever Retro Studios is working on as well. Add to that Bayonetta 2, which might do a good job showing what the system is capable of.

Zelda is inno way realistic. It is "cartoony". Metro isn't as much though.

Rumors like this are bad because you get the diehard fans saying "hell, id pay that", then someone over at Sony/Microsoft/Ninty sees it and says "hey, if they want it at that price lets do it".
If the whole internet (sony fans included) reacted negatively to a price, even if the price was just speculative - it would give them a clear and concise message that if they don't make sure the launch price is low, it'll fail - that's te perfect world scenario though, and will never happen.

depends on how expensive the controller is.  If they keep that basic or just add a couple small things they could easily double the WiiU internals cost.  WiiU costs $350 because of the controller, it's about $150.  So they have about $200 worth of hardware in the box.  Sony could make a $400 box with a controller that costs about $50 (current price I believe although it probably doesn't cost that much for them to make) and easily outshine the WiiU graphically by a big margin.

WiiU also costs that much because of its size and power consumption. It costs more to make smaller hardware. I expect PS4 to be much bigger in size, cost $100 more and have significantly more power.

Retail. Then there's the issue of Sony possibly selling it at a bigger loss than Nintendo are selling WiiU. Perhaps...

I saw a breakdown or two where they said they could achieve 1080p 60fps with 4gb RAM with a system around $400 to manufacture, factoring in Sony's prices, the fact that it'll be over half a year before they have to make (driving down costs of parts), and console optimization to achieve those goals.
