depends on how expensive the controller is.  If they keep that basic or just add a couple small things they could easily double the WiiU internals cost.  WiiU costs $350 because of the controller, it's about $150.  So they have about $200 worth of hardware in the box.  Sony could make a $400 box with a controller that costs about $50 (current price I believe although it probably doesn't cost that much for them to make) and easily outshine the WiiU graphically by a big margin.

WiiU also costs that much because of its size and power consumption. It costs more to make smaller hardware. I expect PS4 to be much bigger in size, cost $100 more and have significantly more power.

cost $100 more for the actual in box hardware or cost $100 at retail for the whole package?

The controller is only one reason the Wii U costs what it does. They also customized it to heck.

Urgh. Man, I hope you are wrong then. The WiiU can´t even deliver PS3 like graphic, If the next gen is not light-years ahead, then there is no point for me.

Wii U is going to do better graphics than PS3 in the next wave of games released for it.

Wishful thinking. Nintendo's IP are all cartoony and I doubt they'll do a realistic Mario game..
I have yet to see any Wii U game that compareds to Uncharted 2/3 or KIllzone 3. I doubt we ever will.

PS3 launched at around 60,000 yen and Wii U is currently around 30,000 yen. So 40,000 yen for PS4 at launch would be good, hopefully it won't go higher than that

6-8x? Where'd you get that from? The most optomistic number I've heard so far is 5x.

Also, I still don't buy that the U-pad costs Nintendo as much as everyone thinks it does.

The Wii U Gamepad has to cost a hefty amount of money since it includes a touchscreen. Those things aren't cheap. Not only that but the Wii U is a very custumized console. Things beings so custom aren't expensive.

On the other hand we will have the PS4 which although it will also have custom parts, it seems to be more off-the-shelf. It's much more PC-like.
