Sony up another 8 percent in Japan, will translate big for American ADRs when they open tomorrow bought in at 9.90.  OT this is good news for Sony and Nintendo as they will have another market to sell their goods.

Why is it not good news for Microsoft ?

Im sure itll be good for MSFT since China mimics alot of US practices, but since its Asian trading, they are focusing on those two.

if sony is up 8% in the Asian markets, then they will open at about 5% tomorrow morning. Easily bring it well over $15. I am a little worried that it is going up too fast. Ill hold off buying for now... let it settle.

Very good news for Sony/Nintendo. Obviously the Chinese will take the Asian consoles over the American one.

(Not because it's bad but because of a relevance between cultures)

It is good news for Microsoft it's just much better news for Sony and Nintendo.

Nintendo business is almost exclusively video game consoles and games. So a new, potentially huge market, will drastically affect them.

One of sony's few profitable products at the moment is the playstation 3, so a new market could drastically help them.

The xbox makes up a very small portion of Microsoft's revenue and profits. So for microsoft's bottomline it isn't as big of a deal, but for the xbox its just as big of a deal as for the other two consoles.

This is good. Sony dominance is going according to the plan.

China would be a huge market! Sales of pretty much every game would jump. Would be interesting to see the results.

Lol..Japanese and Chinese culture is nothing alike.

This is looking to be a great growth of a market.
(Now all they need to care of is the piracy problem....)
