It is good news for Microsoft it's just much better news for Sony and Nintendo.
Nintendo business is almost exclusively video game consoles and games. So a new, potentially huge market, will drastically affect them.
One of sony's few profitable products at the moment is the playstation 3, so a new market could drastically help them.
The xbox makes up a very small portion of Microsoft's revenue and profits. So for microsoft's bottomline it isn't as big of a deal, but for the xbox its just as big of a deal as for the other two consoles.
