I think many of you are skipping over the fact that many of the over 1 Billion Chinese couldn't even afford a console. It's not going to be easy for Sony and Nintendo to break into China and have all these explosive sales that some of you think they'll get. It's not that easy.

We all realize that, but the middle class will rise over the years. It shows the most potential for market growth.

The middle class will take quite awhile to rise, however.

if sony is up 8% in the Asian markets, then they will open at about 5% tomorrow morning. Easily bring it well over $15. I am a little worried that it is going up too fast. Ill hold off buying for now... let it settle.

I agree but its going to be two steps forward one back, buy on any weakness

Most people here really forget one fact that the South Korea, China, Vietnam and Taiwan are hardcore PC gamers.

This is very true. Though, Nintendo seems to have been working hard on changing that in South Korea. They are really pushing the ads over there, so I've heard/read.

Well I'm South Korean and I totally realize this. (STARCRAFT!!!!! Still the best strategy game evar.)

That doesn't mean that it doesn't show market potential. It doesn't have to be a gigantic increase, but a decent amount of growth is very possible.

Europe was once all about PC games.

Maybe China allowing consoles to be sold will make them ditch PC games.

You are totally correct. I saw some last year during my visit to Korea. AND they get Animal Crossing 3DS before we do.

We'll see how it does.

It would be nice if this site had tracking on South Korea, too. (Doubt that'll ever happen.)

Sony up another 8 percent in Japan, will translate big for American ADRs when they open tomorrow bought in at 9.90.  OT this is good news for Sony and Nintendo as they will have another market to sell their goods.

VGChartz to add a fourth sales category for China, or will China end up being merged with Japan and others and be considered "Asia" on here?

Europe and these Asian countries are in different situations. Trust me in this, it will take A LOT for these Asian countries to ditch PC games.
