I have felt much the same way as you, but I was never in doubt that I was going to get the Wii U. The only question was when, and it still is. i hope for a price cut before hollyday 2013, that'll probably push me over the edge to get it this year.

I think Nintendo has decided to skirk doing things traditionally. I see how they are operating; more chaotic. They announce when they want to announce what they want to announce, and people on websites are stuck waiting for news so they are forced to make up stories because Nintendo does things on their own accord.

I think it is time for people to leave Nintendo alone. These guys are rewriting the rulebook on everything corporate and it is time for the majority of the gaming community (gamers and media) to evolve with them. People act like they are leaving Nintendo behind, but after lurking for the last few weeks, I can clearly say Nintendo is leaving you guys behind.

If you cannot explain it, just say that. I know it is weird to feel helpless but how many, "The reason Nintendo is not announcing anything..." or topics along the speculation lines did I need to see? Just admit nobody knows Nintendo's moves. Nintendo wants to be their own media, and they are making the majority of this (see: gaming) community look foolish in the process. Nintendo never worried me, it is this (again see: gaming) community that has worries me.

By far. And I can't understand why people can't accept this fact.

Maybe because it's a preference, not a fact.

That list of games is not impressive.... No offense to everyone who claims to be "excited."

PS4/720 incoming!

This latest ND has given me a lot of confidence in the system. I was going to get a Wii U at launch, but decided to hold off on it as I have 360 games I'm still playing along with 3ds games and I just picked up a new PSP.

Seeing nothing really coming out for it lately kind of justified my holding off on purchasing one. Sure the expected 3d Mario, Mario kart, Zelda were going to come out eventually for it... I didn't purchase my Wii for those games though. Now seeing OTHER fantastic games being shown off (SMT x FE, Yoshi, WW HD and X) I'm definitely interested again. I'll probably pick up a Wii U in the not too distant future. When a game I want releases and now knowing that those other games are on the horizon.

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

Where is Metroid?

Sequel to two of the highest rated games of last gen, sequel to one of the most popular games of last gen, spiritual successor to one of the (if not the) highest rated RPG of last gen, announcement of a sequel to one of the most critically acclaimed game series ever, and as a stocking filler, a remastering of another game from the same series. (and that's not counting half of what was announced)

I think the people that are 'excited' call themselves gamers, but to each their own.
