To be honest the 360 is casual all around.

That's a jab. Like me saying Ps3 would be a casual console if move wasn't an obvious, blatant and shit copy of the Nintendo Wii. They tried to be casual and failed. Jab.

You have a point,BUT when was the last time Sony pushed the move?

Microsoft is still pushing Kinect, which is their main priority next gen. Casual? Indeed

You know their next/current gen game plan already? Fill us in, please?

Wonderbook is pretty recent isn't it? I'd call that a push.

Well If M$ keeps focusing on kinect then I think they will take the casual crowd.

I think Microsoft is taking the casuals for the Consoles.  The Wii was exciting sparkly and new when it came out.  Nintendo go a movement system that worked, people like it, and it was fun.  They had a great run, and sold very well.

Then Kinect came out.  Now it is the new sparkly toy for causal and movement games.  While Just Dance 4 sold great for the Wii, I don't see it having a future against Kinect.  Kinect can do so much more - it can do movement/dance, and expand your interaction with your Xbox.

I don't think the Table of the WiiU has the same pull.  It might be fun, and I hope Nintendo can get some sales.  But the console crown has gone to the Kinect/Xbox, yet much casual gaming will happen on phones.

PS You gave me the idea to make a Kinect vs Balance Board sales comparison.  http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=153444&page=1

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Microsoft could steal the casual crowd. It seems they are producing a powerful and affordable console and if they can get Kinect 2.0 + Durango down to $399 or even better less than this then they have a good shot.

Tease.

i think MS is more interested in casuals now and if they do bundle Kinect 2 then it shows who they want on there system.

I am not sure who these elusive "casuals" are. The vast majority of Wii owners are regular gamers. 150 million+ bought DS and 100 million bought Wii.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

There are many more multi-platform games then exclusives (on consoles at least... damn you pc elites) so by saying that, the ps3 too is a casual console because more than a majority of the game library are casual games.

Every gamer is casual confirmed by this guy.

No....I play multiplats on PC,Multiplats on PC are the and superior to the console version. Xbox only has two exclusives not on PC and even then Gears 1 is on PC.

Ps3 on the other hand has the exclusives so you get the point.

You said 360 is casual all round but it shares a maority of it's games with other platforms, maority rules, all are casual. I'm not seeing your point. Unless it was just a jab at he 360 for no reason of course, that I can see.

It wasn't a jab...Im trying to say PC is like an xbox because 99.9% of their library is similar EXCEPT PC plays every multiplat 100x better.

He's kind of right, if you didn't care about Halo, Forza or Gears the PC is an easy replacement for the 360. Former PC exclusive titles have been carrying the Xbox consoles for quite a while.

The 360 is what the ps2 was in its day. Nintendo has a long road ahead

You can NOT compare the almighty PlayStation 2 to the 360 you just can't.

Why? As a current 2nd place authority I vito your 3rd place comment. You totally CAN make that comparison, speaking in NA boundries offcourse. Globally is a different question.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Nintendo.
Xbox has an identity crisis. It doesn't know if it wants to be a games machine or a multimedia hub, casual or hardcore...etc. Microsoft will have a tough time balancing all of this out at the beginning of next-gen.

IF they can pull it off though...they could be market leader. But who knows what Sony has planned. They'll attack that market as well.

Why do you refer to it as an identity crisis? I'd argue trying to appeal to all markets has kept sales strong.

You can't do everything at once. Microsoft needs to market it as a games machine for the first year or so then move on to other things such as multi-media and Kinect. They need to focus on 1 main selling point and that should be the games IMO. Of course I'm not saying they should advertise other features, I'm saying they should get their priorities straight. My worst fear is consoles becoming PCs and so I dislike it when they are advertised as one.

You can't, the PS2 was dominated by exclusives. Thats like uncharted territory. Microsoft has never ever had such a strong library of games exclusively to their console. Only Nintendo can claim something a sizable exclusive library with their hold on third parties with the NES and SNES.
