Nintendo.
Xbox has an identity crisis. It doesn't know if it wants to be a games machine or a multimedia hub, casual or hardcore...etc. Microsoft will have a tough time balancing all of this out at the beginning of next-gen.

IF they can pull it off though...they could be market leader. But who knows what Sony has planned. They'll attack that market as well.

They can be both. You must be aware of the new studios, both XBLA and retail, that MS has acquired over the past few years.

Its identity will be the true Jack of all trades

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

The 360 is what the ps2 was in its day. Nintendo has a long road ahead

You can NOT compare the almighty PlayStation 2 to the 360 you just can't.

Why? As a current 2nd place authority I vito your 3rd place comment. You totally CAN make that comparison, speaking in NA boundries offcourse. Globally is a different question.

You can't, the PS2 was dominated by exclusives. Thats like uncharted territory.

The comment said that 360 was the PS2 in its day. You can overanalyse the crap out of that but really, it just means popularity in NA.

The casuals have abandoned Nintendo, And Microsoft are going to screw them selfs if they think they can be successful by taking the Wii route next gen.

The Wii route was motion gaming, which scared off the core. I seriously doubt MS will abandon the gamepad next gen.

They are going the core route AND the media hub route.

Its not the PS2 in its day. If it was it would not only have America, but it would also have its sales and massive library. The 360 is at parity with the PS3, therefore it is nothing compared. It shares 90% of its games with its main competitor.

Were only speaking in terms of NA, at least I am. Compared to PS3 in NA, the sales speak for themselves, both hardware and games.

The only thing I can tell you is that Xbox 360 will be at parity with the PS2's North American sales by the end of the year. Thats obviously because PS2 owners as I've always said jumped ship. Sales suggest though that those consumers could easily come back to the PS4 next gen though. Multiplat titles are mostly whats shifting titles over there. Exclusive sales rearched their peak in 2008-2010 for Halo 3. Hasn't really grown since then last time I checked.

Yes, of course you can be both but you need to put much more focus on 1 over the others on a new console launch and that should be its games. Judging from Microsofts last 2 E3s, they'll focus on the services and apps. Just an educated guess.

This. I must correct you though, Microsoft has been dead focused on being a multimedia house for three E3's now which is why they were all lackluster.

To be honest the 360 is casual all around.

That's a jab. Like me saying Ps3 would be a casual console if move wasn't an obvious, blatant and shit copy of the Nintendo Wii. They tried to be casual and failed. Jab.

You have a point,BUT when was the last time Sony pushed the move?

Microsoft is still pushing Kinect, which is their main priority next gen. Casual? Indeed

You know their next/current gen game plan already? Fill us in, please?

Wonderbook is pretty recent isn't it? I'd call that a push.

When was the last time Move was advertised? Don't worry I can wait.

He just said Wonderbook....it had marketing.

Your comment actually just insults Sony, who would love to advertise Move in general.....if it was a success
