But can we pleeeeease have a secret girl's forum?

I've seen it done on other male dominated sites and it really helps bolster commradery as well as the community.

Of course, we can still have a moderator, and I find that the discussions are always enjoyable and that we tend to support each other in the face of 'adversity' (Gotta compete with them men!)

I highly recommend it.
Please consider my request.

I should mention, in the past example people had to be added to the list by requesting in a thread... of course people could lie, but for the most part it worked out really well and nobody felt violated or anything.

I support most of this, except that it shouldn't be "secret". You can post all you like and males can be prohibited from posting in that thread, but still able to view it.

The only reason I don't think that really works is because then that doesn't add security and just creates drama. It's not like we would be plotting doom and destruction... if it's moderated, it shouldn't be an issue. Besides, women talk about periods, tampons and maxi pads... you really wanna read all that? LOL...

What I mean by that is we should be able to know what kind of thoughts women have about gaming, their taste in games and that might help people predict better and understand the other side of the audience that games try to appeal to. I do agree that we should be banned from posting in that forum though, we have a tendency to get out of control.

You have a pretty narrow-minded view yourself if you think all men are unconfortable with those talks, I sure would like to know which brand is the cheapest or something. Will become relevant in the future. (Besides, I have a sister.)

You can't just go around parading total secrecy, by all rights we do deserve to know what you gals talk about. Will help the community in general. Division isn't the answer, understanding is. Walling off men or women isn't gonna help.

Tell that to all the Genwunners appearing lately

You're becoming a little indignant about this and it's just not necessary. I'm asking for a little understanding. I've seen this model work very well in other communities I've been apart of that is male dominated.... I can turn the question back on you. Why are you afraid of what women will privately post? Again... it's OK with moderation I think.. we never used it to plot. Maybe we gossiped, but men do all over the forum all the time and can't you see how quickly it gets very awkward anytime a woman pokes her head out from behind a bush in this forum?

I just think it would help the female part of the community grow. That's all. For me, personally, whether or not a man reads is not an issue... it'd be kinda like a club. Does that make it sense?

You are free to express your opinion I suppose. But I just feel very vehement about it... I know it would help.

Was originally used by the Pokemon-Community to describe the people who only see Gen1 as the "real" Pokemon. I think it also could be used for the people in the 2006-2009 and 2010-2013 threads^^

It gives you exclusive powers that frankly you shouldn't have. It's that that you will abuse it, but the possibility that you could. We don't have to directly interfere, but giving the guys at least the power to observe can establish sort of checks and balances system. It's just unfair, and soon every group will need some sort of "secret forum".

The power to interfere should be controlled. The power to observe should not. (Also what are these other sites you speak of, I would like to know what they do)

I really dont need a secret forum i was just kidding, so really she can have one if the mods admins want to allow it.

It all starts as a joke....and then it gets serious.
