...I don't think Gender really matters at the end of the day, though. If you enjoy gaming, you post in forums. There's no doubt a few Women who are pretending to be men on this site, I know one for certain. But yeah, good idea. Provokes discussion, and that's a good thing.

I like reading the opinions of actual female gamers, even if I disagree with them, so I would welcome measures that would bring more female gamers to these forums, but I do not like the idea of a secret sub-forums at all. I was granted temporary mod status and access to a secret sub-forum some of the mods and veteran users had on another site. Unfortunately, they forgot to hide their "talk trash about other members" thread. I was pissed off and disillusioned enough that I walked away from my mod duties and the website entirely for a few months. I'm not saying that would happen here but I don't like the potential existing. It doesn't seem fair to me. Having the thread as a kind of club where only female club-members could post would fine, but I'm against the secrecy part.
