Forums - Website Topics - I know this is a super uber inconvenient request....

I sort of disagree.

I totally support the encouragement of more support for girls and women in gaming, it would make for a much better community. But I'm not sure a hidden female only sub-forum is the way to go. More engagement between the girls and boys is needed, not separation.

But if the ladies of the board really feel a women only sub-forum is needed at this point then perhaps their needs should met.

Thank you. I wouldn't suggest it if I didn't think it'd actually help.

Actually there a few gentlemen on this forum who I've had pleasure of meeting who are nice to me but it just seems like we are overwhelmed. I think if a woman comes to the forum, sees there is a place where there is a strong female community where we can have our talks without being threatened by the obvious nature of this forum then it could be even more welcoming and the population could grow. Think if it as a sisterhood... if such a place existed, it could give them another reason to stay when the penisergy gets overwhelming. If that encourages that part of the community to grow then that means more diverse energy and discussion for everyone...

As I said, I thought it was weird at first and I don't like the word segregation, but to me I've come to feel it's like laying down fertile ground for another part of the community and allowing it to grow. It's not meant to slight the ppl who are good here.. just that it would things become more welcoming.... p.s. im going to bed lol. typing on tab is annoying

maybe once you established that "sisterhood" you could discuss internally and vote on whether or not it's necessary to be "secret"

i guess ill have to make another women account to see whats going on in that thread

why do girls feel the need to compete with the men?

I don't mind if the girls had their own place if they feel better by having it.

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

The short of it is, even assuming we decide we want to do this, based on the amount of website work needed betwee here, gamewise and the other vgchartz properties... it would probably take years to implement. At the moment we can even get basic quality of life improvements to the site due to programming assets being needed elsewhere.

Rutea knows how to be a lady and not throw in in everyone's face. That's why she's treated with respect. Don't rely on your gender or flirting to be noticed (that's MY job!) and it won't matter where you post. The mistake a lot of females make is that they always end up talking about sex or throwing their boobies in our face.

The black guys don't always go around yelling "I love Friday!" The gay guys don't always go around yelling "I love penis!" The women shouldn't rely on being women. Talk about what you like to whomever you like and you won't feel the need to segregate yourself from the community.

I didn't realize women still needed to act like they were in the 1930's geez...

But all the men can say go I LOVE VAGINAS and let's talk about penis size... i.e. it's not OK for everyone else, just don't stick your head out there too far mmK?

I don't think you genuinely have any idea what you just said, so I'm not goint to take it personally. Tbh, you're just proving my point why we need our own forum... we can't expect everyone to want to welcome the womenz with open arms... because they are the minority here and need to act a certain way and not talk about certain things...not exactly heartwarming right?

I understand the extreme of what you're saying. I'm not here to throw a bra burning party. But damn it, I'm a female!
